Grand Park Fall Championships: Uncommitted '27 N2K
September 18, 2025
The Grand Park Fall Championships offers a college staff a one-stop-shop for recruiting that is unmatched by any event running simultaneous, with some of the Midwests' top uncommitted high school talent at this event that runs in conjuction with the Puma Classic, a premier junior college event going on at Grand Park at the same time. Over 200 schools were represented at this event and our staff, along with the help of neighboring states' staff members, were present and focused on promoting these top uncommitted rising juniors.
Today, we bring a deep dive with forty names-to-know, listed alphabetically, in the Midwest for 2027...
Impact 40
*highlights embedded into the players' name if not shown*
+ Omar Avalos Jr., OF (IL)
Future Gamer for Illinois hitting from the left-side, some quirk but presents the barrel on a shorter path that allows for consistent production.
+ Julio Ayala, 3B (IL)
Confident presence while providing advanced actions and feel on the dirt with strength in a left-handed stroke.
+ Langston Booth, RHP (IL)
Physical, 6-foot-3, 195-pounder - got S/Ms with 86-87 mph heavy fastballs against the team that ended up winning the 2027 division. Short takeaway mixed with an inward turn delivery allows him to hide the ball well.
+ Guerin Boshears, RHP (IN)
Back to full strength after an injury-stricken 2025 - Boshears was back to the form of what we saw at the end of 2024, pitching at 85-88 with a high-spin slider. A Super Sophomore Gamer for Indiana last season, Boshears is certainly a sleeper candidate for 2026.
+ Cutler Chastain, LHP (IN)
A pick-to-click candidate that is really starting to click - Chastain was one of our scouting staffs' favorites on the summer circuit and continued his ascent this weekend with even louder velocities than we saw before. Body control stands out with some athleticism in a 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. I love the operation, specifically the way the hips work and the quick, full arm action that follows. Offers a unique look with a low release height fastball that plays with carry at 84-87. Shows two-distinct breaking ball shapes (CB/SL) that both play in the low-70s and he knows how/when to use them. Also showed an above average CH to round out a starters' mix. The pitchability was a bit lighter than we saw in the summer in this outing, but the overall body of work & jumps shown leaves Chastain as one of the biggest '27 winners from the Hoosier State at this event.
‘27 Cutler Chastain (@CutlerChas_30) continues to 📈 after a big rise in our last update.

+ Connor Christiansen, RHP (IN)
Flat-out dominated a good club in pool play for a no-hit performance. Athletic, stretch 6-footer with an efficient, athletic delivery and clean, full, quick arm on the backside. Pitched at 85-88 with significant arm side life on a heater that touched 89 a handful of times. Also spun a sharp, mid-to-upper 70s slider that is an easy above average offering while showing a 76-78 CH with similiar grades.
+ Landon Clements, SS (IL)
A standout for me at the 16u ABC, and performed well again at the GP Fall Championships. 6-foot, 160-pound left-handed hitter with barrel feel and quality actions on the defensive side of the ball. Strength gains could easily lead to an explosion of the toolset.
+ Liam Delp, SS (IN)
A gamer who just shows up to win each time out, Delp's biggest impact was made on Championship Sunday where the former Future Gamer went 4-for-9 while setting the table as a catalyst for his Canes Midwest National squad. He impacts the game all over, with premier bat-to-ball shining offensively with wiry strength that led to upper-90s exits, and he is a weapon on the basepaths where his 6.5 speed shines bright. On the defensive side, Delp is as sure-handed as any in the Midwest for '27, playing downhill with a mix of aggression and grace while showing the ability to make every play.

Super-twitchy SS w/ quality bat2ball skills. 6.5 runner.
Consistent in-game performer, #PBFG25 alum@PB_Uncommitted #GPFallChamps25 pic.twitter.com/YJ6xbIrcuP
+ Sam Flickinger, RHP (IN)
6-foot-1, 180-pounder with some projection left. Loose 1-piece takeaway w some quickness to the front as the arm works uninterrupted throughout. Controls the zone well with three pitches; 85-88 fastball flashed some carry, low-80s SL still developing, 78-82 CH is best pitch.
+ Grady Grant, SS/RHP (IN)
Former Future Gamer that rose to the No. 13 overall spot on our board in our last update. High-end defensive abilities at shortstop carry the biggest present value with a host of upside traits and present skill to go on top. Short, highly-accurate LH swing plays with minimal S/M traditionally and maturity is beginning to bring more impact. Also closed out a game on the bump with an 86-89 FB and low-70s spin that holds plus upside down the road.

5’11” 165. Uber feel on both sides of the ball that shows up consistently. 2 barrels 👇#PBFG25 alum. #GPFallChamps25 pic.twitter.com/8Fz4ZKk8r9
+ Bryton Gregg, RHP (IN)
A flat-out winner that fills it always and showed off jumps at this event. Pitched easily at 85-88 with a downhill, in-line delivery & he's unaffraid to go right at hitters with it. Heater sets the tunnel for an upper-70s SL that spun north of 2500 and could tick to a plus down the road; also showed some feel to manipulate it for a slurvier look at 73-75 for strikes. Showed a 76-77 CH. Starters' mix, feel, and athleticism.
+ Henry Haley, RHP (IN)
Recent riser after a strong spring/summer. Showed a fastball up to 89 (sat 85-88) with his traditional well-above average CH and also showed a new-and-improved breaking ball that played with true 12/6 shape and spun in the 2500s.
+ Luke Haley, RHP (IN)
6-foot-2, 190-pound wiry frame w some projection left. Showing off velo jumps at this event while looking the part of a strong follow moving forward. Fastball played at 86-88 with some arm side life at times, and occasional cut misses. 72-75 SL showed upside as an above average offering but was inconsistent in total. Loose, 1-piece takeaway with front hip working open at times that led to command troubles.
+ Jackson Harris, C (IN)
6-foot-2, 190-pound backstop with standout arm strength from the crouch and serious silk that comes with his left-handed stroke. On the barrel for multiple well-struck swings this weekend. High-upside follow that continues to put it all together...
+ Russell Hengels, RHP (IL)
Provides a ton of intrigue in his movement patterns and projectable 6-foot-4 frame. Scattered command but the stuff stands out. FB: 84-87 mph, held, whiffs SL: 76-78 mph, flashed sharp
+ Charlie Herr, RHP (IN)
Smooth operation with premier projection in the 6-foot-4, 170-pound frame. Worked three hitless, scoreless frames with four punchouts and lots of soft contact generated with real feel for a starters' four-pitch mix. Sunk the fastball from a lower, wide slot at 84-87 while also deploying his traditional low-70s sweeper that he shows immense feel to land glove side. Went to a 72-74 CH against LHH that was sold with fastball arm speed, also showed an upper-70s cutter that is new within his development. One of, if not THE, most projectable uncommitted arm in the class.

+ Lincoln Hoffman, OF (IN)
On the barrel in several trips this weekend, has made some adjustments to his setup/load/stride that brought production. LHH OF that runs a 6.70.
+ Kobe Jordan, RHP (IL)
High-end projection to the 6-foot-5 frame with a real chance to make jumps. Stuff does not jump out for now, T85 FB, developing low-70s spin.
+ Carson Leuthauser, C/3B (MO)
If we're talking purely abilities in the box, Leuthauser is one of my favorite right-handed hitters in the Midwest for 2027 with a hit/power combo that shows every single time he takes to Grand Park. Bringing a workman's approach with confidence that truly never wavers, the Missouri native collected three hits this weekend while producing runs in the middle of the order to help his Canes Midwest National squad to a championship run.

+ Ty Cannon Lillpop, OF (KY)
Massive, 6-foot-4, 195-pound frame with evident power potential in a right-handed stroke.
+ Paxton Lukac, CF/RHP (IN)
Wiry, athletic frame packed w twitch. 6.58 runner w plus arm strength - low 90s from the OF & up to 89 on the bump, also an excellent defender in CF. Showed twitch on the offensive side in my look with a real chance to polish, making him a breakout candidate for a storied Andrean program that will look to reload next spring after winning the 3A State Championship in 2025.
+ Liam McGeady, RHP (OH)
XL, physical-framed, 6-foot-6, 215-pounder ranked as a top-10 player in Ohio's 2027 class. Gets downhill with the levers providing funk and he showed three comfortable average to better offerings. Pitched at 86-88 touching a couple 89s with a ride/run heater that missed bats and played up with the properties and extension. Went to short 73-76 SL and 80-81 CH that he showed feel for.
+ Keith Mitchell, CF (KY)
The unoffical MVP amongst '27 grads - Mitchell asserted himself as one of the premier athletes in the Midwest during the GP Fall Championships by going 7-for-11 with (2) doubles, a triple, and adding (4) SB, (2) BB, and (6) runs scored. There is compact explosiveness in the 6-foot, 195-pound frame with 6.6 run times showing down the line, underway, and in center. The swing is short, simple, and explosive with real barrel feel apparent in the way that he was able to spoil 2K offerings again and again before punishing mistakes left over the heart of the plate. A Future Gamer for Kentucky this past July, Mitchell continues to gain helium throughout a huge 2025 campaign that saw him rise significantly in Kentucky's rankings during their last update.
CF Keith Mitchell (KY, @Keith_wmitchell) having one of the most impactful weekends amongst the 2027s at GP.

+ Camden Moore, 3B/RHP (IN)
Moore split time between Grand Park and a college visit this weekend, but his impact shined bright in the two games that he did perform in. Standing out immediately with a pro-bodied, 6-foot-5, 205-pound frame, Moore first shined on the bump by striking out the side in his inning of work on the bump where he sat 88-89 with a heavy heater that racked up swings-and-misses. He got his first K on a wipeout, upper-70s slider that still lingers in my brain, though it was the only competitive breaker thrown, a pitch Moore is still refining but holds upside no doubt. He followed suit with a loud offensive performance on Sunday where he found three barrels, including a dead center triple and backside double that summed up his run-producing abilities quite well. The card is littered with above average to better tools that he showcased consistently in 2025, helping him to elevate to the No. 6 overall prospect on our board in our last rankings update.

+ Ryan Murphy, RHP (OH)
Oozing upside in a 6-foot-6, 175-pound frame, my first look at the highly-projectable arm was a very positive one that included a pair of shutout frames where he punched three without allowing a hit. Murphy uses a shorter, tucked lift within a simple, repeatable delivery that helped him control the zone at a well-above average clip in this look with an apparent future-starters' arsenal. Attacking from a mid-3/4 slot, Murphy showed some fastball manipulation with an 85-88 mph offering that played best with sink, though he was able to carry it at times, especially at the top. The bread-and-butter here is his mid-to-upper-70s slider that has plus upside, spinning presently in the 2700s with bite and glove side feel. He also flashed a low-80s change that looks the part of an easy average third pitch. With present traits for success mixed with huge growth potential, Murphy leaves as one of my favorite '27 arms I saw on the weekend.

+ Mark Neels, OF (IN)
Dynamic runner that continues to get better. Brings a LHH CF profile. Sleeper follow.
+ Josiah Patterson, RHP (IL)
Athletic 5-foot-10, 184-pound frame. Manipulates tempo; repeats the delivery well with four usable shapes that he used to quiet a quality opposing lineup. Cut a mid-80s heater (T 86) while showing real feel to manipulate sharp spin, leaning on both a SL: 70-73 mph (2700+ rpm) & CB: 66-68 mph (2400+ rpm.) for strikes and chase. Also showed a developing change at 72-76.
+ Brayden Ring, SS (IN)
Fundamental shortstop that stands at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. Sure-handed always on the dirt with a smooth-natured, line drive-oriented right-handed stroke.
+ Jackson Schilling, C (OH)
Future Games Alum from Ohio currently ranked as their No. 1 backstop and No. 6 overall player in the class. Stocky strong, 5-foot-11, 185-pounder that juiced a homer to dead center in my look on night one before going 7-for-13 with another pair of doubles throughout the week. Deploys a simple hand load that works in conjuction with a hanging leg lift load, hands climb a bit as the front foot works into the ground to create usable separation. Direct path with evident strength. Also showed easy above average to better arm strength from the crouch, but the arm strength did show ahead of the receiving ability in this look.

+ Brady Smith, RHP (IA)
Higher-intent mover with a wiry, athletic, 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Levers flying all around creates some deception with long, loose, whippy arm turning over with apparent quickness to the front. Controlled four shapes; mid-80s FB (T87) climbed barrels, mid-70s CH that he could do what he wanted with (to RH and LHHs), also went top-down with a 70 mph CB while sweeping it with more slider shape in the mid-70s.
+ Isaiah Snavely, SS (IN)
The highest-touted '27 at this event, Snavely got off to a bit of a slower start this week, but once his electric hands got synced - his impact was more than felt. Snavely colled three hits on the weekend with his loudest being a backspun bullet that he sent to RCF to split that gap, and he used his high-end foot speed to burn an inside-the-park homer on that swing. His dynamic abilities were summed up quite well in the 15 seconds it took him to completely change that game, clearing the bases and giving his team a huge insurance boost. Beyond holding one of the more electric offensive profiles in the class, Snavely's motor/passion for the game was evident - talking the game always while bringing infectious energy to the top step of the dugout.

##GPFallChamps25 | @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/4pkL53dA2h
+ Chace Staude, OF (WI)
I tabbed Staude the 'MVP' of the 17u ABC this summer after the Wisconsin native led his GRB Sticks club in hitting while they won the event playing a grade up. Back for more, Staude continued to show his premier contact skills from the left-side this week, on top of projecting as an easy above average defender at the next level in center. The left-handed swing plays with impact slap that helps him not only get out of the box at a well-above average rate, but shines with gap-to-gap strength beginning to creep in.
‘27 CF Chace Staude (WI, @ChaceStaude) has impressed across multiple looks at Grand Park in ‘25.

+ Micah Toler, OF (IN)
Projectable, 6-foot-2, 170-pounder that really stands out in the uniform. Southern Indiana kid with some offensive polish and room for continued growth. Strong follow...
+ Colton Topp, OF (WI)
Athletic, 6-foot, 175-pounder. Recent rankings riser for Wisconsin now slated as the No. 8 OF in their 2027 class - Topp brings barrel feel in a left-handed stroke with average to better tools across the board.
+ Jacsen Tucker, SS (IL)
Tucker was another one of the highest-touted prospects at the event, saving his best performances for when the lights shined brightest on Championship Sunday. While he scuffled a bit on both sides early in the week, Tucker brought his premium defensive abilities at short when it mattered most while also going 4-for-8 on Sunday with a pair of loud doubles, including one that left the bat at 101 mph. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame is one that jumps out as soon as he steps between the lines, while the toolset is littered with potential pluses. If the power continues to elevate the way it did on the circuit this summer, we're talking about a pro-bodied shortstop with premier athleticism, a real chance to stick at a premium position, and potential plus raw power blossoming...

A major pick-to-click candidate that could seriously elevate with added strength to his projectable, 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame. Easy effort delivery pairs with a loose, clean arm to produce feel for three pitches; 82-84 FB (up to 86 previously), 70-71 CB, 76-78 CH.

+ Mikey Watson, SS (IL)
UBER-athletic with impact twitch packed into a 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Brings swagger to the dirt with a confident presence and the ability to make out-of-funnel plays with advanced body control lingering in my brain. Offensively, the right-handed hitter is carried by plus foot speed (6.55) with some rawness present to the swing. He deploys an aggressive approach within a linear operation where he counterbalances a heavier forward move with some ability to adjust and scissor the lower half to maintain direction. Plenty of strength at impact couples with elite athleticism to easily suggest there is polishing to come.
SS Mikey Watson (Homewood-Flossmoor, 2027) continues to take quality swings in front of our staff.
