River Run Fall Games: Quick Hits, Outfielders

Prep Baseball Alabama Staff

NORTHPORT, AL - On Sunday, August 17th, the River Run Fall Games highlighted Opening Weekend at the newly opened River Run Park in Northport, AL, the new home for Prep Baseball Tournaments in Alabama. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2026-2030 classes. These players went through an pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, defensive workout, Vizual Edge testing, and more. Pitchers were able to throw simulated innings during gameplay and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

Continuing our post-event coverage for this event, we dive into some of the top outfielder prospects in attendance from the event. Please continue to check back over the next week, as we will release other leaderboards and individual scouting reports on each player present at the event.

+ OF Charlie Hare (Springville, 2027) boasts above-average tools across the board and ranked near the top of most important statistical categories at the event. A 6-foot, 188-pounder who possesses an athletic frame with some scattered strength, the junior showcased the impact ability in the swing with a pull-side gap approach during his round of BP. Featuring a simple load, the right-hander works into launch well and meets the ball with a heavy barrel at the point of contact. Consistently lifted balls to the LCF gap in BP, peaking at a 98.0 mph EV. Also topped at 93 mph from the OF and clocked a 6.91 60-yard dash during the workout.

+ OF Houston Falciani (Hartselle, 2026) is an athletic right-handed bat in Alabama's 2026 class who will be a name for college coaches to follow moving forward. A 5-foot-10, 157-pounder, the senior possesses a lean, high-waisted build with plenty of room to add strength in the future. Offensively, the right-hander has a contact-oriented, line-drive approach at the plate and has been a consistent in-game performer for the past year serving as a key piece for Hartselle's title run last spring. Has a controlled, fundamental swing that seems to routinely find the sweet spot with each swing and can spray to all fields. Also a quality defender in the grass with range and solid arm strength. Also a standout football player on the gridiron.

+ OF Camden Cullen (Fairview, 2027) was a prospect who stood out and emerged as a winner from the event during his first Prep Baseball showcase. A 5-foot-11, 165-pounder with long limbs and an athletic frame, the junior jumped out during the offensive portion of the workout with consistent line drives back up the middle in his round of BP. The right-hander hits from a relaxed, upright position and uses a simple stride for his load. Barrel stays through the zone well and keeps it on-plane showing quicks hands in the swing. Rotates well in the swing posting the second-best average rotational acceleration (25.5 g) from the event. Posted a top EV of 95.5 mph. Was also up to 86 mph from the OF.

+ OF Jaxson Dohrman (Chelsea, 2027) put up some quality numbers in various parts of the showcase and will be another junior outfielder to follow moving into next spring. A 5-foot-11, 174-pounder, Dohrman has proportional strength to his athletic build and it shows up in the right-handed swing. Consistently barreling balls to all parts of the field during his round of BP, Dohrman showed quick hands and present bat speed with each swing and peaked at a top EV of 100.7 mph, which was second-best from the event. The barrel stays level through the zone with present strength at contact. Has a controlled leg kick for timing and rotates well with good intent. A 7.23-runner who was also up to 85 mph from the OF.

+ OF/RHP Bryson Boyington (Tuscaloosa County, 2027) possesses some quality two-way abilities and stood out on both sides of the ball during the event. A lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounder, Boyington showcases a quick, line-drive swing from the right side of the plate with a level path through contact. Has a quick stride and load for timing and stays direct to contact showing quick hands in the swing. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash, was up to 88 mph from the OF, and peaked at a 93.7 mph EV on the positional side. On the mound, the right-handed worked up to 83.9 mph and mixed in a sharp-biting CB with big 12-6 shape to it in the 68-71 mph range.

+ OF Bryce Odom (Ariton, 2028) took a strong round of BP with consistent line drives back up the middle while showcasing some athletic traits in various other parts of the event. A 5-foot-11, 156-pounder with quality athleticism, the sophomore has an early, unique load that helps sync the swing up well and delivered consistent firm contact in his round of BP. Barrel works on an upward path and does a good job of getting into the lower-half during the swing while creating some extension out front. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash, was up to 85 mph from the OF, and peaked at a top EV of 96.0 mph.
