Looking Ahead to Fall
As we head into fall, we’ll continue reliving the action with highlights from semifinals and championship games of our top events of the summer. We’ll also revisit MVPs and LJ’s Lineup one final time before closing the book on summer.
To wrap it all up, I’ll release the final LJ’s Lineup of the year—featuring one team from each age group, plus the Pitcher of the Year and Position Player of the Year for the 2025 summer.

The Super 16 was among the summer’s most competitive events, featuring 130 elite programs from 13 states at Homefield and Creekside. With 128 Prep Baseball Future Games players in attendance, it stood out as one of the most talented Prep Baseball tournaments in the country.
Semifinal 1: Building Champions 16u National defeated MN Icemen–Gominski 16u, 10–0. Owen Hughes threw four scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
Semifinal 2: Houston Wildcatters 2027 Navy Barron edged GBA Eisen in a 1-run thriller. Darren Klein tied the game in the 7th with a 2-run homer, but Nomar Torres answered with a walk-off blast to send the Wildcatters to the final.
Championship Game: The final featured two of the nation’s top-ranked players—#3 Lubin Rincon and #4 Grant Westphal—both set to appear in the Prep Baseball All-American Game on September 20 at LoanDepot Park in Miami. BC’s Carter Taldo drove in the first run with an RBI single.
Aedyn Acosta (RBI single) and Tucker Gamet (sac fly) added two more. Houston clawed back in the 6th with runs from Austin Fuhrman (passed ball) and Elijah Gassett (clutch RBI single).
