Uncommitted Spotlight: '27 Kaikea Patoc-Young
August 17, 2025
The summer has come to a close, and the Prep Baseball Hawaii staff has wrapped up both the Hawaii State Games and the 2025 Future Games, showcasing talent from all across the state.
With the summer schedule in the books, our staff will be reflecting on summer standouts with our Uncommitted Spotlight Series—a closer look at the players who stood out at our events. Updated stats, data, and video have been added to player profiles, giving these prospects another boost in getting their game seen by college coaches.
We continue our Uncommitted Spotlight Series with ’27 LHP Kaikea Patoc-Young, who impressed with strong showings at both the Hawaii State Games and the 2025 Future Games. Patoc-Young worked his fastball at 87-89 mph, attacking the zone with intent and confidence. He paired it with a big breaking ball that he landed for strikes consistently, along with a changeup that featured depth and late arm-side run, averaging 1474 rpm. The LHP’s numbers have been on a steady rise since the Hawaii State Games in June and continue trending in the right direction as he heads into his junior year.
This article will take a closer look at some of Kaikea's recent metrics, scouting reports, and videos from previous events, including the 2025 Future Games.
