Teel Ravens Scout Day: Takeaways

On Saturday, July 5th and Monday, July 21st, the Prep Baseball New Jersey staff traveled to FDU Teaneck in Teaneck, NJ, for the Teel Ravens Scout Day.
This event is always a great opportunity for us to get our eyes on the talented players within the Teel Ravens organization and this year's showcase proved to be a success.
We wanted to take the time to highlight a number of the standout players from the event in a Takeaways story, found below.
Top Performers
C/RHP Ian Wilczynski (Mahwah, 2026) had the most impressive all-around showing at the first session of the Scout Day. The two-way stands 6-foot-2, 190-pounds and led the event in most categories. In his round of BP, the RHH had a max EV of 93 mph with an avg. of 87 mph and a max distance of 317’. Behind the plate, tossed 75 mph from the chute and had a pop time range of 2.04-2.12, both were event leaders. On the mound, worked the fastball in the low 80s with 2080+ avg. rpm and some impressive vertical break. Wilczynski was a winner from the event.
RHP/OF Johnny Giannantonio (Pascack Hills, 2026) currently ranked No. 182 in the state’s 2026 class, the right-hander tossed a loud bullpen on the 21st, working the fastball at 79-82 mph with an avg. of 14 in. of IVB, the slider was 70-75 mph with 2000+ avg. rpm, and the changeup worked at 76-78 mph. At the plate, the RHH peaked at 92 mph EV with a max distance of 343’. Also, ran the second best 60-yard time at 7.02 and tossed 86 mph from the OF.
OF Max Stalb (Pascack Valley, 2027) currently ranked No. 83 in the state’s 2027 class, Stalb stands 6-foot-5, 195-pounds and put together a loud round of BP at the event. Stalb had a max EV of 95 mph, averaging 87 mph with a max distance of 325’. The right-hander also tossed 84 mph from the outfield, an impressive showing for the ‘27.
RHP Luke Kopczynski (Creskill, 2026) had arguably the most eye-opening bullpen of either event. The right-hander measures 6-foot-2, 180-pounds and ran the fastball up to 83.4 mph, sitting 82-83 mph with an avg. spin rate of 2189 rpm. Also, threw a slider in the mid 70s, and a changeup in the mid to high 70s with an avg. of 11 in. of HM. Kopczynski came out of this event as a follow for this upcoming year.
C/1B Danny Maye (Don Bosco Prep, 2027) currently ranked No. 63 in the state’s ‘27 class, Maye had a loud round of BP, peaking his EV at 102.2 mph which was the top of the event, averaged 91 mph EV, another event lead, and had a max distance of 374’. Maye is a physical 5-foot-11, 230-pound prospect that can work behind the plate as well. Flashed a 2.13 pop time and threw 69 mph from the chute.
MIF Sean Sailer (Ramsey, 2026; Villanova) 6-foot-1, 180–pounds, Sailer continues to show well in front of our staff, ran an event best 6.81 60-yard time, tossed 84 mph across the infield and had an impressive round of BP. The smooth swinging LHH had a max EV of 95 mph and an average of 87 mph while working line drives throughout. Salier had a max distance of 352’. The Villanova commit is currently ranked No. 49 in the state’s ‘26 class.
C Jake Szabo (Pascack Hills, 2026) the 6-foot, 180-pound backstop showed well at the plate as well as in his round of defense. Szabo flashed some juice in his BP round, touching 94 mph EV with an average of 84 mph and a max distance of 330’. The RHH stayed on top of the ball throughout the round. Behind the plate, flashed a 2.10-2.25 pop time while throwing 73 mph from the chute. Szabo also tossed 80 mph from the outfield.
C/OF Nathan Silverstein (River Dell, 2026) was consistently in the barrel in his round of BP maxing his EV at 95 mph and averaging 90 mph. Also, had a max distance measuring at 342’. Defensively, Silverstein had a 2.23 pop time and tossed 71 mph from behind the plate and 77 mph from the outfield.
OF Alex Silverstein (River Dell, 2028) broke out at the event, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound ‘28 had a loud round of BP, peaking at 94 mph EV with an average of 88 mph, and a max distance of 350’. Silverstein ran a 7.4 60-yard dash and tossed 80 mph from the OF. These numbers will continue to tick up as Silverstein matures. A winner from the event.
