East Coast Super Sophomore Games: Team South Carolina Preview
The East Coast Super Sophomore Games return for their second year in 2025, showcasing some of the top Class of 2028 talent from across the region. This year’s event will be held at two premier venues: UNC’s Boshamer Stadium and Burlington Athletic Park, running from August 1–3.
The 2025 event will feature nine regional teams, each representing a distinct territory. A tenth team, Team Select, will be composed of standout players from five different states.
The event begins on Friday, August 1, with a full workout day hosted at the University of North Carolina. Position players will participate in a range of athletic testing and drills, capturing verified stats and advanced analytics. Teams will also take part in batting practice and a full infield/outfield session during their scheduled workout window.
Friday’s workouts will be divided into three sessions throughout the day. Team South Carolina is scheduled to participate during the noon session.
Game action begins on Saturday, with each team playing a doubleheader. Team South Carolina will open at 11:30 AM at UNC and return to action at 5:30 PM at UNC. Pitchers will be limited to 1–2 innings per outing, while position players will rotate defensively and hit in a continuous lineup. This format provides Prep Baseball scouts and other evaluators with an opportunity to see players compete in multiple roles throughout the weekend.
