DAY ONE

Team Wisconsin took on Team Virginia game one of the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games in a closely contested matchup.

RHP/INF Cooper Graham (Mukwonago, 2029) took the mound in game one for Team Wisconsin’s Junior Future Games.

In 3.2 innings of work, Graham struck out four batters and didn’t allow a run against Team Virginia. Strong 6-foot-1, 196-pound frame. Showed feel for three pitches with a calm, confident presence on the mound.

INF/RHP Eastin Sorenson (Chippewa Falls, 2029) would lead off the top of the second inning with a hard hit single back up the middle.

OF/LHP Robert Perez II (Bay Port, 2029) would follow this up with a line drive to center field for a base hit of his own, his first of two hits in the game.

After Team Virginia took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, INF/RHP Teagan Tate (Oconto Falls, 2029) would single on a line drive to center field to get the action started for Team Wisconsin before they would eventually fall short to Team Virginia.

DAY TWO

In game two, Team Wisconsin would face off against a talented Team Pennsylvania.

After allowing a run in the top of the first inning, INF/ RHP Cael Ebert (Homestead, 2029) would put the first hit of the game up on the board for Team Wisconsin, lining a base hit back up the middle.

C/INF Chris Worrell Jr. (Oak Creek, 2030) would lead off the bottom of the second inning with a line drive to the opposite field for a base hit. Worrell would go on to advance to second base on a wild pitch, advance to third base on a balk, and come around to score on a wild pitch. Worrell continues to impress with his advanced movements on both sides of the ball, throwing out a would-be base stealer at second base as well as picking off a runner at second base in the game.

RHP/INF Heath Rosemeyer (Fall Creek, 2029) would take the mound in the third inning and go three strong innings, only allowing two hits while striking out four batters.

Team Wisconsin would fall 5-1 to Team Pennsylvania.

GAME THREE

Game three featured a matchup between Team Wisconsin and Team Southeast.

Team Wisconsin would get on the board first, set up by a double for INF/RHP Owen Adams (Bay Port, 2029) and a batter hit by a pitch.

INF/RHP Cooper Graham (Mukwonago, 2029) would send a hard hit line drive to left-center field to score Adams.

INF/RHP Carter Hyland (Waukesha West, 2029) would reach after being hit by a pitch, and eventually come around to score on a wild pitch.

INF/RHP Cael Ebert (Homestead, 2029) would come up with the bases loaded, and drive in the third run of the first inning for Team Wisconsin with a line drive to center field for a base hit.

Team Wisconsin would pick up right where they left off in the bottom of the second inning, with the leadoff batter, OF/RHP Elijah Johnson (Whitefish Bay, 2029) reaching on a walk, and advancing to second base, then third base on wild pitches.

C/INF Chris Worrell Jr. (Oak Creek, 2030) would hit a hard ground ball back up the middle to drive in another run for Team Wisconsin.

Graham would lead off the bottom of the fifth inning with his second hit of the game, and a walk to C/RHP Bentley Henrickson (Lincoln, 2029) would set the table for Team Wisconsin.

After a double play, an error on the defense allows Graham to come around to score.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, a leadoff walk for INF/RHP Teagan Tate (Oconto Falls, 2029), and another to Adams would set the table for Hyland to drive in a run with a base hit to right field, Adams advances to third base and would come around to score on a wild pitch.

Team Wisconsin would fall to Team Southeast in a close, 8-7 game.
