North Carolina Class of 2029: 50 Names to Know

With the initial release of the North Carolina Class of 2029 Rankings, Prep Baseball introduced the first look at a group still in the earliest stages of its evaluation cycle. The debut list featured the Top 25 prospects in the state—players who have already made early impressions through workouts, live looks, and their performances at the Jr. Future Games and other key events.

But the opening rankings only scratch the surface of a class that will continue to grow and evolve over the next four years. Today, we turn our attention to 50 additional players to know in the 2029 class.

As with the initial release, it is important to emphasize that these rankings—and the scouting confidence behind them—are still in their infancy. The Class of 2029 carries a wide developmental range, with many players just entering high school or preparing for their freshman season. Because of this variance, we expect substantial movement across the board as we get into preseason events and ultimately the 2026 spring season.

The 50 names highlighted below did not appear in the initial Top 25, but each impressed our scouting staff over the past six months. Whether through summer looks, fall tournaments, organization workouts, or the Jr. Future Games process, these players showcased early traits worth tracking as the class begins to take shape.

These prospects are not yet ranked—but they are firmly on the radar. As we continue gathering in-game evaluations, data, and updated testing during the lead-up to next year, many of these players have the potential to climb into future updates.
