This year's winner is Lewis Dunn (2027). Dunn not only put up impressive numbers during the workout portion of the event, he also produced big numbers during games. The Maggie Walker HS product was 3/5 with a monster homerun on Sunday, as well as a ground rule double that he followed up the bomb with. Dunn turned out multiple PR's during the workout, where he showed an improved 60 time (6.99), improved 30-yd and 10-yd splits, and PR's on Trackman hitting where he was 100.5 Exit Velocity and 397 ft Max Distance. His Blast Motion scores also showed significant improvements, highlighted by his nearly 7 mph increase in average bat speed (76.8 mph) and nearly two more mph than before on his hand speed average (21.0). Dunn is easily one of the best hitters remaining in the VA/DC 2027 Class and is very deserving of this recognition that he is receiving from this performance. |
