Power Rankings: 2028 Right-Handers
November 18, 2025
As we lead up to our end of year update, our staff hints at impending moves with the release of our position rankings for each position in the class as our board stands at the conclusion of the fall. We remain bullish on our 2028s, one of the most talented groups we've seen on both sides of the ball at this stage in their development.
Before we dive into our comprehensive list of the top twenty-five right-handed arms on our board, check out the positions we've already covered from this group by clicking the links below:
+ Top 10 Corner Infielders for 2028
Right-handed arms generally take up about half of our Top 25, 50, and 100 due to the quantity of arm talent that our state is known for. This class is no different, boasting some of the most advanced right-handers we've seen at the age, with all the names below set to update within our Top 75 in our early-December update.
As discussed with our previous list, the group of shortstops, the list you see below is heavily tiered. There are several tiers listed below, but you'll notice a trend amongst the top arms; athletic arms with projectable frames & clean movement patterns that show either 1) advanced stuff or 2) above-average stuff with above-average to better control. I would consider to two top arms in a category of their own, showing both advanced stuff and above-average to better control at this point.
As the list goes on, we prioritize potential starting pitcher profiles above all. In my own terms, I'll put a SP tag on an arm that is able to command multiple pitches on a regular basis, if they project to have above-average stuff when it is all said and done. Bullpen-type profiles require more bat-missing abilities, wether that is due to the stuff they have, or the deception they bring within the operation.
Quite possibly the deepest assortment of high-end right-handed arm talent we've seen a class have for the age, the top 25 on our board have been highlighted below.

Player Reports
Cole Breeden RHP / Mater Dei High School, IN / 2028+ The top-ranked pitcher in the class and one of the highest-touted arms in the Midwest, currently the #17 RHP in the country and a Top 75 player overall nationally. Serious silk, athleticism, and arm talent within the operation + a ton to dream on with the 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame. Fastball plays with late sinking life in the upper-80s (T89) to pair with a low-70s SL that tunnels well off the heater. 75-78 CH is a serviceable third pitch to round a starters' mix, think the CH has a chance to tick up at least a grade with development. Easy SP projections due to stuff & present control; projects to reach into the mid-90s at some point in his high school career. Also receiving buzz as a recruit on the hardwood.
Billy Miller SS / RHP / Kouts Middle/High School, IN / 2028+ Primary SS but doubles as one of the highest-floor RHP'ers in the class. Wiry, 6-foot-1 frame still has ample room for strength, already comes with twitch & athleticism. Repeats the delivery well; fastball reached 90 in front of our staff on multiple occasions in 2025. Low-70s breaking ball plays with sweep mostly, will flash two-plane break. Serviceable change in the low-80s rounds a starters' mix. 6.7 runner; easily projects to reach into the low-90s on a consistent basis. |
Bishop Moore RHP / Beech Grove Sr High School, IN / 2028+ Sky-high ceiling with 6-foot-7, 205-pound frame; maintains status as a Top 10 player in the class as our #3 RHP heading into the winter. 3-sport athlete that comes from a hoops background, also plays QB. Began to sync levers on a more consistent basis in 2025; velocity and feel both trended well. Reached 90 mph at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games while showing feel for a low-70s CB with depth and flashing a mid-70s CH. Still learning to repeat, but easily projects to reach into the mid-90s during his HS career. |
Braylon Storey RHP / 3B / Center Grove, IN / 2028+ Owns the top velocity of any pitcher in the class. Freak athlete who stands at 6-foot-3 and also runs a sub-6.5 in the 60. Fastball topped at 91 at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games; broke out as one of the top prospects at our Freshman All-State last February. Mixes with a gyro slider that works in the mid-70s along with flashing an upper-70s CH that holds plenty of upside. Control wavered at times during looks in 2025, but Storey undoubtedly has the potential to reach into the mid-90s during his HS career. Has the athleticism/aptitude to make necessary adjustments.
Drew Morgan RHP / Mt Vernon High School, IN / 2028+ High-upside arm that blends several present abilities with even more to dream on. Lean, wiry, athletic, 6-foot-4, 165-pound frame with plenty of room to pack on strength. Consistently fills the zone with a sinking fastball that plays in the mid-80s mostly, touching 88 this fall. Upper-70s slider is thrown with conviction, chance to be a real out-pitch down the road; also turns over a mid-to-upper 70s change with feel to do so. Very good athlete; also runs a 6.82 60. Projects as a next-level SP with quality feel and well-above average stuff that likely climbs with physical development.
Spencer Schiff C / RHP / Mater Dei, IN / 2028+ The top-ranked catcher and corner infielder on our board in the 2028 class, but may have the highest upside on the bump. Projectable look to the high-waisted, 6-foot+ frame, chance to be really physical while also holding the athleticism to run a sub-7 60. Short, compact arm circle that he repeats well. Riding properties (at times) to the FB that plays at 83-86 with real feel for a sharp, low-70s breaking ball that he can execute at will. Likely climbs into the upper-80s (or higher) in 2026, but the ability to consistently attack the zone & get swing and miss with his two-pitch mix is what we value most.
Gavin McGee RHP / Roncalli High School, IN / 2028+ Excellent movement patterns pair with a clean arm stroke. Stretch 6-footer with well-above average athleticism and twitch; 7.04 runner. Coils/uncoils hips well to power advanced arm speed. Fastball plays in the 85-88 range consistently; has reached 89 in front of our staff on a couple occasions. Spins the ball very well, inducing some carry on a backspun heater & allowing him to manipulate spin for two shapes. 74-76 CB plays with bite & two-plane depth, while the SL is more of a gyro thrown at 75-78. Some scatter will come out on occasion, but has trended well in that department. One of the youngest RHP'ers on this list.
Darret Branson RHP / Mater Dei High School, IN / 2028+ Highly-competitive RHP with plenty of upside still to the 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. Chance to be physical. Long, full arm swing with simple, repeatable delivery. Floods the zone with advanced feel for a starters' three pitch mix. Fastball plays with carry life at 83-86, touching 87 multiple times at the Midwest Super Sophomore Games. Excellent feel for a 68-70 mph CB; flashes a sweepier SL that plays firmer. Kills spin and gets arm-side tilt on a mid-70s CH. Chance for the stuff to make jumps, but the competitiveness, projection, and ability to compete over the white on a consistent basis are the most valued traits.
Bodhi Pulley RHP / Bloomington High School North, IN / 2028+ Plenty to like here, but it all starts with the classes' best breaking ball to this present moment. SL plays in the mid-70s with devastating late bite and sweeping shape; will spin it at 3,000 RPM at times. Fastball plays in the mid-80s consistently & was up to 88 this past summer; devastating 2S life at times allowing him to tunnel with the SL. Moves very well, hips power the operation. Still some repeatability/sync issues with the long arm path and rotational nature of the delivery; when right offers some of the best S/M stuff in the class. 6-foot-2, 180-pounder with sturdy hips and a chance to be physical. |
Matthew Kulig RHP / SS / Andrean, IN / 2028+ Two-way follow that is also a T20 SS in the class; we remain more-bullish on the upside on the hill. Young, projectable look at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds with a chance to be physical and plenty of room for growth. Athletic delivery, lifts to a shorter inward turn, arm gets inverted but flips up in-sync with some quickness. Fastball up to 87 this summer, pitches in the mid-80s consistently with some carry to the fastball. 72-75 SLV holds plenty of upside, was able to throw it for S/M vs RH & LH hitters in my looks last summer.
Finnegan Steiner RHP / University High School of Indiana, IN / 2028+ Highly-projectable RHP who also doubles as a T5 3B in the class; our evals have the highest ceiling for him on the bump, #11 on this list and slated inside the T25 on our overall board. All of 6-foot-3, 190-pounds with the frame likely to end up physical. Clean operation with the arm stroke working in a similiar fashion. Fastball plays in the 82-85 range, spins the breaking ball in the low-70s. Average control to this point. Chance for big velocity jumps in 2026... |
Carson Frome RHP / North High School, IN / 2028+ Clean, easy mover with a young look to his 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. Repeats the delivery well; attacks from an over-the-top arm slot with the arm speed climbing in my summer look compared to his bullpen at the All-State in February. Arsenal plays north/south, carries the heater at 82-84, touching 85 and drops in a 12/6 CB that plays off of it at 68-70 mph. Chance for jumps this spring, priority follow.
Rhys Sorgius RHP / Gibson Southern, IN / 2028+ Pick-to-click type arm from Southern Indiana; excelled in looks by our staff & the Illinois staff in 2025. Uber-projectable, wiry, 6-foot-1, 155-pounder with clean movement patterns. Stuff will jump as he becomes more dynamic down the slope. Pitched in the 80-83 range last summer with a sinking fastball, also spins it well; into the 2300s at 69-72 with sweeper shape. Chance for big jumps if strength/explosiveness is added. |
Mark Haynes RHP / Wawasee High School, IN / 2028+ High floor RHP with a sturdy-strong, 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame. Clean, balanced operation; gets downhill well. Clean, compact arm action plays with some quickness and he repeats it well. In the zone consistently across three looks in 2025. Pitched at 82-85 on a fastball that showed occasional sink, though his go-to offering is a big, mid-to-upper 60s CB that spins in the 25-2600 range. Chance to be a SP considering the feel, stuff, and durable frame. |
AIDEN THOMPSON RHP / Center Grove, IN / 2028+ High follow arm from a Center Grove program that has churned them out in bunches over recent years. Projectable, athletic, twitchy, 6-foot-3, 180-pounder. Clear athleticism in the delivery; gets downhill & extends well. Long, full arm stroke plays with quickness to the front to produce a mid-80s fastball that reached 86 this summer. Secondaries are still in the development stages; works in the mid-70s on a slider that flashes sharp action & holds upside. We have him profiled as a potential power back-end bullpen arm at this stage in our evals. |
Jayce Cunningham RHP / St Theodore Guerin High School, IN / 2028+ Projection remaining in the 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame. Balanced, tucked lift before working in-line; syncs long, deep arm action at an above-average clip. Sink/running properties to the fastball; plays in the 82-86 range consistently and was up to 87 this fall. Shows feel to land a gradual, 68-72 mph breaking ball while also using a mid-70s change that is an above-average pitch. |
Logan Matiya RHP / Columbia City High School, IN / 2028+ Excellent mover who stood out through various looks at our showcase events & on the circuit. Easy average to better athlete with plenty of projection to the 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Efficient delivery with clean arm on the backside that should allow him to continue to make jumps. Routinely pitches with low-intent in the low-80s; has reached 84 on a couple occasions. Slurvey breaking ball works in the low-70s, shows one of the better RH CH's in the class, a mid-70s offering that plays with heavy arm-side fade. Priority follow in the FW area for 2026. |
Dominik Loveless RHP / Penn High School, IN / 2028+ Higher-intent arm who had a breakout showing at our Underclass Games at IU last June. Quick operation with stronger rotational capabilities & a recoil-type finish. Quick, compact arm. Worked in the mid-80s this summer, touching 86.5 mph on his best bullet. 71-75 SL plays with real late break at times; holds clear upside as a future out-pitch. |
Dylan Chism RHP / Norwell High School, IN / 2028+ Sturdy, 6-foot, 180-pounder with strength in the lower half. Provides deception; funky look to a high takeaway before uncoiling with intent as the arm works to a more 3/4 release. Fastball consistently works in the 85-86 range with some ride/run at times. Properties + deception allow the fastball to play up. Manipulates velocity for two breaking balls, similiar properties but the CB works more at 68-71 while the SL plays on a flatter plane at 74-75. Kills spin on a mid-70s change. Profiles best as a tough-look matchup bullpen arm. |
Henry Skeen RHP / Hamilton Southeastern HS, IN / 2028+ Athletic, 6-foot-1, 175-pounder with the arm talent to keep him regarded as a T20 RHP'er in the class. Athletic operation on the bump with some moving parts, high leg lift with intentful drop and drive as the hands break. Long, full arm action plays with quick arm speed. Fastball works in the mid-80s (T86); mixes w a gyro slider at 71-74 and an upper-70s SPL that plays with tumble. Some scatter in our evals, but remains a high follow for 2026. |
Caiden Pohler RHP / Huntington North High School, IN / 2028+ Pick-to-click candidate for the 2026 season. High-waisted, projectable, 6-foot, 160-pounder. Dynamic mover that works in-line & flooded the zone in my looks last summer. Pitched at 78-82 mostly last summer, saw him up to 84 on his best bullet, with some late life to the heater. Spins it well, & for strikes, with varying shape on the upper-60s to low-70s offering. Showed an upper-60s CH but was more two-pitch in the summer. Very good athlete with a real chance he makes jumps coming out of the winter. Reminds me in many ways of '26 IU signee Collin Marcum at the age... |
Brady Martin RHP / Greenfield-Central High School, IN / 2028+ Another projection-type arm, Martin stands at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds, and broke out as a freshman contributor for Greenfield-Central last spring. Athletic delivery, lifts to a tall/even balance point w/ some drop and drive as he works down the slope. Loose arm works to a high 3/4 slot. Saw his low-80s fastball up to 83 last summer, easy to project mid-80s velos from his in 2026 (or higher). Has feel to land a sweepy, 68-71 mph breaking ball. Controls two-pitch mix well. |
Zac Glander SS / RHP / Noblesville High School, IN / 2028+ Two-way prospect as a primary SS; holds significant upside on the bump, too. Young look to the 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame that should mature further. Athletic delivery works from a tight, tucked lift and he remains in balance throughout. Loose, clean arm on the backside; reached 84 mph on the FB this fall. Pitches in the low-80s with real feel for his secondaries; upper-60s breaking ball spins at 2400+ & he is able to get heavy fade on a mid-70s change. Real chance the stuff jumps in 2026... |
Cass Omlor RHP / Zionsville Community High School, IN / 2028+ Projectable, 6-foot-1, 165-pounder. Clean, repeatable delivery; works down the slope with uphill shoulder plane. Long, full, uninterrupted arm stroke gets to a higher release point. FB with some carry played into the low-80s last summer and will tick further in 2026. Spins a two-plane, upper-60s breaking ball that has the makings of a future out-pitch, will also show a straight change in a similiar velocity range. |
Hayes Schluge RHP / Bishop Chatard, IN / 2028+ High-upside, 6-foot-3, 180-pounder who offers immense intrigue. Will climb into the T75 for the first time in our upcoming update after providing the look of a future prospect at the Indy Titans Scout Day. Gets extended well with his long-levered frame and pitched at 81-83 in one of his first stints on the bump since coming off injury. Though inconsistent in that look, flashed a mid-70s SL that spun north of 2600 rpm, flashing wipeout potential when executed. Highly-intriguing follow with a chance to climb as he polishes further. |
