Alabama Class of 2029 Rankings
November 24, 2025
ALABAMA — With one class graduating and heading to the college ranks, it’s time to turn the spotlight to the next wave of high school talent ready to leave its mark on the state. Alabama’s 2029 class is shaping up to be one of the strongest groups in the past decade, packed with high-end prospects and players poised to make significant jumps over the next four years.
For our initial release, we’ve trimmed the list to 30 standouts after getting multiple extended looks over the past two summers. This group will undoubtedly grow and shuffle as players continue to develop, refine their skills, and mature. Several talented prospects narrowly missed the cut this time and are strong candidates to break into future updates. For now, let’s dive into the class—starting with RHP Tristan Blalock, who opens at No. 1.
Alabama Top-10: Class of 2029
As we begin evaluating the top talent in this class statewide, RHP Tristan Blalock (James Clemens) has firmly placed himself among the premier right-handed pitchers in the nation. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound freshman boasts exceptional projection, generating electric stuff with a fastball that sits in the upper-80s and reached 89.3 mph at our Birmingham Summer ID in July. What truly separates him, however, is a wipeout 74–76 mph slider that already functions as a bona fide put-away pitch. Spinning around 2400 RPM with 17–18 inches of sweep, the pitch shows sharp, late break out of the tunnel. Blalock also features an above-average changeup at 79–81 mph, further enhancing his already high ceiling. Despite his advanced present ability, there remains significant room for growth, giving the young right-hander a legitimate chance to develop into one of the nation’s elite arms in the coming years.
