At The Top
After another exceptional showing put together at the 2025 West Coast Super Sophomore Games, SS Lincoln Moore holds down the top spot in Washington's 2028 ranks. The 6'2 infielder put together another standout performance in the workout portion of the event, while picking up multiple hits during gameplay as well. Moore's ease and fluidity in his overall game paired with his size and projectability combine to form the exact type of player sought after by college coaches and pro scouts alike. The righty should stick up the middle and be a middle to top of the order bat for years to come. The Super Sophomore Games was the final look in what was a fantastic 2025 for Moore, highlighted by exit velocities up to 99.6 MPH, a 6.95 60-yard dash time, and throws up to 84 MPH across the diamond.
Battle Ground catcher Collin McGowan holds steady at the number two spot in the rankings. The righty is still one of the more physically mature prospects in the state class, with plenty of present strength and extra base hit potential in a 6'2 frame. McGowan's ability to maintain his athleticism given his size to this point is another standout trait. The hard-nosed athlete can handle multiple positions defensively, while the bat played in a big way during a high school look this spring.

Puyallup RHP/OF Madden Pike is another versatile prospect on the position player side, with steady production shown on the mound as well. As a position player, Pike carries plus arm strength with enough speed to stick in any of the three outfield spots, while also posting a best pop time of 1.85 seconds at a Prep Baseball showcase this winter. On the mound is where Pike continues to be at his best, running his fastball up over 90 MPH while leaning on a slider heavily in-game as well. Pike will be in attendance at the 2026 PNW Preseason All-State event.
One of the few shakeups near the top, C Joseph Bense works his way from #6 to #4 in our latest update after a great showing at Super Sophomore Games. The compact-framed catcher showed an advanced defensive skillset, with plus catch-and-throw skills for his age resulting in a best pop time of 1.90 seconds to pair with an innate ability to steal strikes and block pitches in the dirt. Bense also set new bests with a 96.4 MPH exit velocity, 366 foot batted ball distance and a 7.16 second 60 time, showing a fundamentally sound swing from the right side that should play in a big way in years to come.
New Faces in the Top Ten
RHP Tate Tuininga was narrowly outside the top ten in our previous edition of the rankings, and he works his way up to the #9 spot after an eye-opening look in Eugene. The 6'4 arm featured plus spin and carry on a fastball up to 88.3 MPH, competing in the zone against a tough opponent, Tuininga features two distinct breakers with similarly high spin rates, with a CH as a fourth offering to round out his diverse arsenal. The ball jumps out of the hand with a 3/4 to lower 3/4 slot release, and the lean, high-waisted frame should only continue to add strength moving forward.

INF/RHP Daniel Sleeter was one of the biggest winners at Super Sophomore Games, earning a small jump into the top ten. The switch-hitter was equally polished on both sides of the plate, delivering some of the best BP rounds at the event. Sleeter was on the barrel throughout, peaking with a 96.8 MPH exit velocity while averaging north of 90 MPH, staying under control and lining balls to both gaps. The Gig Harbor transfer reached base multiple times during gameplay. Defensively, Sleeter showed enough arm strength to stick on the left side of the infield with throws up to 88 MPH, while he was consistent from the catcher position with 1.95 pop times from behind the dish. As if he hadn't already impressed enough, Sleeter then worked through some quick innings on the mound, running his fastball into the mid-80's with a firm CH and mid-70's SL inducing whiffs with ease.
Other Fall Standouts
The West Coast Super Sophomore Games provided a great opportunity to see the 2028 class competing against each other, and Bainbridge INF Dominic D'Amico delivered arguably the best offensive output of the event. The righty bat delivered nothing but line drive after line drive, seemingly reaching base in just about every plate appearance and carrying over from a strong look at PNW State Games in the summer. The swing features bat and hand speed combined with barrel accuracy that led to power up the middle and to the pull side, with a peak exit velocity of 97.9 MPH. D'Amico has a real shot to be one of the best bats in the class by the time all is said and done.

A high-upside player moving forward, RHP/OF Kameron Diederichs out of Newport High School was another standout. A 6'4 athlete, Diederichs moved well with a 7.1 60-time. Diederichs possesses plenty of raw power from the right side of the dish, with longer levers producing exit velocities up to 97.1 MPH and balls hit up to 372 feet. On the mound, Diederichs showed some scattered command at times but features electric arm talent, running his fastball up to 88.7 MPH with a mid-70's slider to pair. The arm stays compact post-break with a quick high 3/4 slot release, resulting in some sinking action at times.

Further down the rankings list, two more prospects from Super Sophomore Games make their rankings debuts. Outfielder Jack Gonzalez from O'Dea High School collected multiple hits during gameplay, maintaining a simple approach from the right side. Gonzalez showed well in the workout with throws up to 83 MPH, a 7.2 60-time, and exit velocities into the low-90's.
Skyline lefty Jack Ogliore was another prospect who picked up multiple hits during the gameplay portion of the event, competing on the mound as well in Eugene. The lefty featured an all-fields approach with an uphill barrel path through the zone to produce at the plate. On the mound, the strike thrower mixed in four different pitches from a shorter arm path, running his fastball north of 80 MPH. Ogliore has room to add strength which could elevate his sound overall game, and will be seen at a Preseason ID event early in 2026.
