With the summer and fall season behind us and the 2026 State Rankings being released at the end of august, we’re taking a look at some of the top uncommitted players within this update. Today, we are taking a look at the top-10 uncommitted outfielders. This list is full of impact bats and defenders that are still looking for a home.

2026 Top-10 Uncommitted: Outfielders

Luke Schaning OF / RHP / Nathan Hale, WI / 2026

From 3/28/25: "OF Luke Schaning (Nathan Hale, 2026) started his day by running a bursty 7.06 60-yard dash. He hit with a handsy and short hand path through the ball and registered a 97 max exit velocity which was 11th best at the event and 89.1 mph average exit velocity which came in at 14th best for the event among a group of nearly 150 participants. Schaning also offers quite a bit of athleticism and feel for all three outfield positions and it was another quality look at the junior. He’s poised for a big spring."

Joel Markusse OF / OF / WI, Brookfield East Highschool, WI / 2026

From 5/6/25: "Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 159 in the state. Compact, 5-foot-8, 160-pound build, present strength throughout, round shoulders with a developed lower-half. Started in center and hit out of the five-hole for the Spartans, finishing the day 2-for-3 with two hits. Twitchy right-handed hitter with a comfortable look in the box, battled in counts and showed notable bat-speed. Moves around well in the outfield with quality reads off the bat, quick first step, covers ground well. Arm played with some strength and accuracy during IO. Athletic prospect to know."

Jackson Villarreal OF / OF / Oak Creek, WI / 2026

From 7/31/25: "Fresh off one of the most productive springs in the Southeast Conference for the Knights. Wide stance from the LHH, minimal toe tap load mechanism, stays in the back side through the swing, back spin tendencies with intent to do damage. Stays behind the ball in the outfield, quick, loose arm action in the outfield with a max OF velocity of 88 mph."

Mark Williams OF / 3B / Sheboygan North, WI / 2026

From 3/4/25: "OF Mark Williams (Sheboygan North, 2026) popped up as a follow bat to monitor from the weekend. The athletic 5-foot-10, 186-pound outfielder also showed present strength while being one of the top athletes at the event. Williams started the day running a 6.91 60 yard dash before taking a quality round of BP, showing an overall fluid and more natural right-handed swing from his previous looks. Reaching a 96.3 mph max exit velo on the day while showing overall feel for the barrel throughout the round. Defensively, the outfielder showed natural actions with arm strength up to 83 mph during the event. Williams is a name-to-know in the Badger State moving forward."

O'Neil Wright OF / OF / Port Washington, WI / 2026

From 7/17/25: "Standing at 5-foot-10, 208-pounds with present strength in the lower half. Wright had an impressive showing on Friday going 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. At the plate he has a simple set up, trigger with the hands, and medium leg kick. Uncommitted follow."

Nolan Schmidbauer OF / 2B / Waukesha West, WI / 2026

From 7/17/25: "Athletic 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. Had a three hit day at the plate including one back up the middle for an RBI single. Bat to ball skills evident with contact and barrel control. Looks the part defensively as well, athletic defender with range in center. Athletic actions in the outfield."

Jackson Niemiec OF / SS / Muskego, WI / 2026

Collin Storbakken OF / Hamilton High, WI / 2026

From 3/22/25:

Brady Ploch OF / RHP / Oconomowoc , WI / 2026

Thomas Carew OF / LHP / Appleton North, WI / 2026

From 3/4/25: "OF/LHP Thomas Carew (Appleton North, 2026) is an athletic L/L two-way player measuring in at 5-foot-10 with clear room to add to his frame. At the plate, also showcased an athletic delivery and was able to repeat his 3/4 release point consistently. Carew’s fastball was up to 80 mph that he was able to angle it to spots in the zone which set up the rest of his arsenal. The slider played with short and quick two-plane break in the zone he showcased feel for a change-up with late fading action. Overall, it was a really good day for the junior Carew."
