Inland Empire Fall ID: Pitcher Analysis

On Sunday, October 26th, the Prep Baseball California staff traveled to Corona High School in Corona, CA for the Inland Empire Fall ID. This event was host to over 20 prospects from California, and gave our staff a personal look at everyone in attendance.

Today, we are taking a look at all of the pitchers from the day with their scouting reports and a top-3 event ranking, below.

TOP PITCHERS

1. Christian De La O, Centennial High (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Shows present strength with a projectable build and additional fill still to come.
Delivery: Slow, controlled delivery with the glove starting at the chest and lowering toward the right side of the belt. Medium leg lift with inward turn.
Arm Action: RH. Works through a full arm circle from a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 86-87 mph. 4-seam fastball that maintains its plane with true carry through the zone. Lacks occasional arm-side command. T2358, 2278 average rpm.
CB: 69-71 mph. Shows vertical drop with late horizontal bite. Command for pitch. T2310, 2234 average rpm.
