NOTABLE NEWCOMERS IN THE TOP 50 📈

Hudson Holcomb LHP / OF / Brophy College Prep, AZ / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 29 / POS: 2 Hudson continues to trend up as one of the more intriguing young arms in the class. His fastball now sneaks into the mid 80s, and the loose, athletic delivery hints at even more to come. Hudson competes with confidence, mixes well, and carries a calm presence that plays beyond his age. A steady mover with real left handed upside, he enters 2026 as a strong projectable follow on the mound.

Pax Mcfadyen RHP / 1B / Kingman Academy of Learning - High School, AZ / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 30 / POS: 3 Pax shows a quick arm with some natural funk in the delivery, giving his fastball a look that can bother hitters. He’s still tightening up the operation, but the pieces are there for steady progress as he grows into more strength and consistency. At the plate, Pax flashes solid feel for contact with enough early juice to keep him interesting as a two way option. A steady worker with room to trend up, Pax enters 2026 as a sensible projectable follow.

Luke Rons RHP / OF / Brophy Prep, AZ / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 31 / POS: 4 Luke brings a smooth, easy operation on the mound with a clean arm that projects as he adds strength. The fastball sits in the low 80s with more on the way, and the breaking ball already shows shape and feel that should continue to sharpen. Mikey Stortz 1B / RHP / Millennium, AZ / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 32 / POS: 1 Mikey continues to show traits that lean more toward the mound, where the arm strength stands out and the fastball now climbs into the mid 80s. The delivery is simple and repeatable, giving him a solid base as he learns to attack the zone with more intent. He turned in a solid showing at the Super Sophomore Games in Oregon, collecting a couple of extra base hits and flashing his glove throughout the event. With competitive at bats and a well rounded foundation, Easton enters 2026 as a steady follow who could trend up as the tools tighten.

Mattox Murray SS / RHP / Canyon View, AZ / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 39 / POS: 9 Mattox fits best on the infield, where his actions are steady and the athleticism shows up in how he moves. He turned in a decent showing at the Super Sophomore Games, competing well and holding his own on both sides of the ball. Mattox can hop on the mound when needed, but he’s more of an infielder with an ability pitch and pound the zone, with his arm strength and overall game still coming together as he matures. With continued development and added strength, Mattox enters 2026 as a realistic follow.
