Then and Now

The 2x Junior Future Games alum has been a staple near the top of the ranks for the '28 class and continues to make significant strides in his game. Alonso finished off his 2025 with us at the Fall Campus Tour Series at the University of Georgia where his numbers were up across the board from out last look at Junior Future Games in July of 2024. At the plate his max exit velocity of 88.8 in July of 2024 to 96.8 in November. His average exit velocity was up nearly 11mph. Max distance increased from 292ft to now 364ft. Max Bat Speed increased from 71.2mph in July of '24 to 79.7mph. Added arm strength in the infield with 6mph of progression as he went from 85mph in July of '24 to 91mph in November. Easy operation on the mound with tons more to project upon and shows advanced feel for a 3-pitch mix with a fastball that was in the upper 80's this November at UGA.

6-foot-1 185-pounds. This is year 3 of seeing Alonso, and he just keeps getting better. We 1st saw him as a 13 year old at a rising stars event, and he turned into a 2 time Junior Future Gamer for Team Georgia. On the mound he showcases one of the most electric fastballs in the class, and has been up to 89, and will consistently sit in the mid to upper 80’s. He has feel for spin with a 12-6 curveball that pairs well with the fastball. He uses the fastball up in the zone for swing and misses regularly as well. He has an older brother that at the division 1 baseball ranks, and Chase should not be too far behind him as one of the top names in the state for the 2028 class.
