FALL SPOTLIGHTS

Gabriel Escobar SS / RHP / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2028

Escobar continues to get better with each look, turning in his best performance yet at this year’s Kansas Fall Games. His athleticism was front and center, posting a 6.57 60-yard dash, an 88 mph infield velocity, and showing a controlled three-pitch mix on the mound with a fastball up to 86 mph. Look for Escobar to make a substantial impact for the Thunderbirds this spring.

Braylon Dillon C / 1B / Olathe West, KS / 2028

A backstop to keep tabs on in the coming years, Dillon showcased an intriguing toolset at the Kansas Fall Games. The 5-foot-11, 163-pound catcher posted a 6.90 60-time and a 73 mph arm from the chute, while flashing impact potential at the plate with low-to-mid-90s exit velocities. With continued physical growth, Dillon could be a riser in the near future.

Liam Nider RHP / C / Manhattan, KS / 2028

Nider was one of the top standouts this fall at the Kansas Fall ID, emerging as a name to know as he continues to polish his game. A power-packed two-way athlete at 6-foot, 195 pounds, Nider flashed real strength at the plate with exit velocities north of 95 mph, pairing it with a low-80s fastball on the mound.

Davis Schipper LHP / Olathe South, KS / 2028

We recently got our first look at Schipper this fall at the Mac N Seitz Scout Day, where the 6-foot-5, 180-pound lefty impressed in his Prep Baseball debut. Oozing projection with a quick arm, a frame to dream on, and a three-pitch mix in the zone, Schipper is an intriguing follow with plenty more to come.

Micah Reif 3B / 1B / Blue Valley North, KS / 2028

One of the biggest winners of the day at our Mac N Seitz Scout Day, few players have shown as much improvement in the past year as Reif. Having added size and strength since our last look, he turned heads with one of the loudest rounds of batting practice of the fall, posting triple-digit exit velocities from a smooth right-handed swing that has proven to translate in game.

Kole Schwanke RHP / 1B / Mulvane, KS / 2028

Schwanke made a strong impression in his Prep Baseball debut this fall at the Kansas Fall Games, showing feel to command an intriguing three-pitch mix from a near-side arm slot. His low-80s fastball featured heavy arm-side run, complemented by a 2,400+ RPM slider with over -17" of horizontal movement, creating tough at-bats for hitters. Standing 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, Schwanke has plenty of room to add on and could easily move up the rankings in the future.
