5 Star - The Lou Scout Day: Quick Hits
November 5, 2025
On Sunday, October 12th, the Prep Baseball Missouri staff traveled to the Legacy Facility in Chesterfield, MO to host the annual Legacy Scout Day. This event, featured 50 players from the Legacy program in attendence.
All of our events offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that takes place at the tail end of the summer. To see what our events offer, click HERE.
Earlier, our staff rolled out the day’s statistical standouts in leaderboard format within our ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE. Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts within these ‘Quick Hits’. Read below to learn about 8 names that popped to our staff from Sunday's trip to Chesterfield.

+ The loudest all-around showing of the day undoubtedly came from INF/C Gabe Garcia (Timberland, 2027). Built with strength throughout a sturdy 5-foot-11, 210-pound frame, Garcia found himself at the top of the leaderboard in nearly every category. His quick, rotational right-handed swing stayed on-plane through the zone with consistency, showing the ability to drive the ball with authority to the pull-side throughout his round. Garcia peaked at 102.8 mph off the bat with an impressive 92.5 mph average exit velocity. Behind the plate, he showed arm strength and accuracy, consistently popping between 1.92–2.00 seconds with a top velocity of 81 mph from the crouch, while also showing his versatility on the infield with an 87 mph infield mark.

+ Sunday's trip to O’Fallon gave our staff another look at 2025 Junior Future Gamer C/RHP Fin Almanza Parra (Wright City, 2029), who once again showcased his ability to be an impact player on both sides of the ball. The strength-filled 6-foot, 201-pound freshman showed command of his full arsenal on the mound, sitting 80–81 mph with his fastball at 2,300+ RPM and 26 inches of induced vertical break. Off that, he spun a 69–71 mph curveball with -14.5 inches of horizontal movement and a 76–77 mph changeup. At the plate, Parra displayed a quick, left-handed swing geared to elevate the baseball, barreling his best ball 340 feet at 94.9 mph and averaging 85.4 mph per batted ball.

+ RHP Keegan Lehmkuhl (Warrenton, 2028) is a young arm to keep an eye on from Sunday’s trip to O’Fallon. The 5-foot-9, 145-pound sophomore worked consistently in the low-80s, running his fastball up to 83 mph with ride through the top of the zone and up to 17.5 inches of arm-side run from a loose, easy arm action. Lehmkuhl also spun a high-60s curveball with -16.3 inches of horizontal movement and showed feel for a 72-74 mph changeup with low spin and late fade.
