POSITIONAL TOP 5️⃣

PITCHERS

Jeremiah Hall SS / RHP / Maple Mountain, UT / 2028

Jeremiah lands at #11 in the country for the 2028 Class, largely due in part to that electric right arm. After logging over 50 IP last year Varsity and helping lead Maple Mtn to a deep playoff run, his Sophomore year stands to be a true breakout campaign.
FB (89-91.9)

CV (72-77)

CH (77-78)

Ty Holmstead OF / RHP / American Fork, UT / 2028

Last season saw Ty in a ton of high leverage spots on the mound Varsity, earning invaluable experience that will serve him well moving forward. 2026 stands to be a huge year for the Caveman right-hander.
FB (87-90)

SL (67-71)

CH (76-77)

Boston Hatch LHP / OF / Riverton, UT / 2028

Boston is the top left-hander in the Class with a smooth, repeatable delivery and a high ceiling projection. I expect a monster year from the Riverton Sophomore!
FB (80-83)

CV (72-74)

CH (67-69)

Eric Phelps RHP / SS / Enterprise High, UT / 2028

Breakout year for the Enterprise Sophomore, stamping his mark at our Summer Top Prospects Games. He came out pounding the zone with a firm FB and wipeout SL. Don’t be shocked if he has 100+ punchouts in 2026.
FB (87-90.3)

SL (73-76)

Austin Sorenson RHP / 3B / Copper Hills, UT / 2028

Austin features a firm FB and one of the nastier hooks for the Class, spinning it at nearly 3000 rpm (2896 average). The intrigue is very much there and the physicality should see him making heavy contributions for a deep, veteran Copper Hills squad.
FB (86-87)

CV (71-73)

CH (81-83)

CATCHERS

Trigg Cloward C / SS / Spanish Fork, UT / 2028

Elite physical tools from behind the plate are the theme for Trigg. Pop times consistently in the 1.9 range with 80+ velo and accurate throws are a big part of what makes Trigg so intriguing. The catch and throw tool could take him a long way in this game.

Tavake Wolfgramm C / OF / Pleasant Grove, UT / 2028

We haven’t seen Vake since last February, but his metrics were elite then and you can count on drastic improvement by the time we see him again at the Preseason All State. Flashing excellent quick twitch actions all over the field, including exchanges on throws around the diamond, with sound defense and well above average offense make Vake a top prospect in the Class.

Levi Hines C / SS / Corner Canyon, UT / 2028

Levi is another top player who is a two sport athlete (football) that also catches. Our 2028 class of catchers is loaded with athleticism, and that’s no exception for the Corner Canyon Sophomore. Arm talent and speed are the key tools here, upper 80s across the infield and pop times sub 2.0 consistently. The switch hitting makes him even more intriguing offensively and should play a major role Varsity this Spring.

Easton Webb C / 3B / Herriman, UT / 2028

Present strength and physicality stand out with Easton and played a key factor in him earning a ton of Varsity at bats in the DH spot. From the left side he poses a threat for opposing pitchers, plus bat to ball skills and legit power upside moving forward. I won’t be shocked if ends up one of the top hitters in the entire class by Senior year.

James Rex C / SS / Lehi, UT / 2028

We have not seen James since last February, but have continued to follow his growth online through the tournament summer circuit. He consistently shows an ability to put the barrel on the ball and produce as a top of the lineup type player. We are eager to see him again soon at a preseason event and evaluate the defensive growth over the past year, which we anticipate being significant.

INFIELDERS

Jake Welch SS / 2B / Lehi, UT / 2028

Jake comes in as the top infielder in the 2028 Class, but he may be the best in the state regardless of age. Elite hands and feet that move through the ball well, and he adds to those tools with an electric arm that is up to 91 across the diamond. He continues to make huge strides in his game offensively, and I expect a monster Sophomore campaign for Jake helping lead Lehi to another deep playoff run.

Cruz Adams 3B / RHP / American Fork, UT / 2028

Cruz had himself an awesome Summer and Fall, posting top metrics all over the place for the Class and the State. Elite physical tools and surprising agility for his size (6’2 190) put Cruz at the top of the list for must follows moving forward this year, and the rest of his career.

Brooks Pratt C / SS / Maple Mountain, UT / 2028

High IQ player and an athlete that is continuing to grow and mature physically. After a huge growth spurt this year, I anticipate his skills really settling into his frame and his Sophomore year could be a breakout one. With an ability to play almost any position on the field and his left-handed swing posing a real threat this year, count on heavy Varsity contribution in 2026.

Jason Pintar SS / Spanish Fork, UT / 2028

Jason remains one of the more highly anticipated prospects that I am eager to see, and still have not. He is coming off one of the more impressive Varsity seasons for anyone in the Class, playing a key role of the eventual 5A State Champions at Spanish Fork. 2026 could see Jason cracking the top 10 if the trend of production continues upward.

Dawson Moore SS / 2B / Provo, UT / 2028

Overall production and high level play, both offensively and defensively are the themes for Dawson. From the left side, he poses a real problem for opposing pitchers trying to get him out consistently. Elite bat to ball skills with sneaky pop, he could be a 1st team All State player this Spring for the Bulldogs.

OUTFIELDERS

Austin Brown OF / 1B / Wasatch, UT / 2028

Legit gap to gap HR power from the left side, combined with excellent agility at 6’1 205 lbs, help land Austin at #26 in the country for the Class. If you make a mistake out over the plate and he gets a chance to get his hands extended, there isn’t a park that you can find that will hold him. Coming off a Freshman Varsity season that saw him collect over 45 hits, I expect the offseason growth to produce more XBH and put him in the conversation for potential POTY in 2026.

Ryder Sand OF / RHP / Riverton, UT / 2028

We got our first look of Ryder this Fall at our Top Prospects Games where he really excelled. After posting the top OF velo of the entire event (90), he put together a mature, loud round of BP and cemented himself as a must follow player moving forward. His performance and 2026 outlook landed him in our Top 20 after not being ranked last time around. Big things are coming for Mr Sand this Spring.

Jett Pratt OF / RHP / Deseret Peak, UT / 2028

Jett continues to impress on the field whenever he has an opportunity, the type of kid who doesn’t take it for granted. He does all the little things well and his online activity really helps our evaluations year round. You can see the relentless effort and hours he puts into his game, and it’s really starting to bear fruit. 2026 should be a breakout season for Jett and the new HS out in Tooele, Deseret Peak.

Deagan Soderquist OF / Crimson Cliffs, UT / 2028

We got a small glimpse of Deagan this Fall at a Saint George tournament, and you can see the physical upside very quickly. Mature approach for his age and his intent in the box to damage stands out. Very eager to get a closer evaluation of the Crimson Sophomore at our upcoming Preseason All State. From what I can see, Deagan stands to make a significant contribution for a loaded, veteran group defending their State Title.

Mason Burbidge SS / OF / Crimson Cliffs, UT / 2028

Mason attended our CBA Scout Day back in Summer of 2024, and showed the skills of a future high level prospect. He keeps the swing simple from the left side, flashing plus bat to ball skills and potential HR power down the road. We look forward to following him closer this upcoming Spring, and could be an underclassman that makes a Varsity impact for the reigning 4A State Champions.
