2025 OKC Fall ID: Quick Hits

Prep Baseball Oklahoma hosted the OKC Fall ID at the University of Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 28th featuring players from the 2026 to some up-and-coming prospects of the 2029 class. The event featured a pro-style workout with BP, defensive evaluations, laser timed 60 yard dashes, and bullpens. The event was tracked with data from our tech partners Trackman, Blast Motion, and Vald Performance with more coming from that data later this week. Today we take a look at some of the top performers from the event with quick notes and videos on players with a strong showing.

QUICK HITS
+ OF Cole Britton (Edmond Santa Fe, 2026) showcased his impact hit tool throughout the OKC Fall ID. The right handed hitting outfielder showed extra base hit power, driving the ball from alley to alley, in one of the more consistent rounds of BP throughout the day. The 88.3 mph avg Exit Velo and 94.6 mph max EV were each near the top of the leaderboard. Rounding out his day, Britton showed his athleticism with a 6.99 60 from a physical 5’11” 195 pound frame. The uncommitted senior is an impact bat to keep an eye on for schools at the next level.

+ OF Qa’im Butler (Enid, 2028) had one of the most well-rounded and impactful days at the OKC Fall ID. The sophomore flashed a wide skillset that would give him the ability to impact games in all phases. Offensively, the athletic right handed hitter flashed a smooth, efficient offensive move that saw EVs up to 93.6 mph. Further, he ran a 6.57 60 that further showed his athleticism. Defensively, the Enid product attacked balls downhill and was up to 88 mph from the outfield. The developing sophomore showed a loud skillset that will make him an exciting follow through the winter into the spring.

+ C Charles Copus (Norman North, 2027) showed his middle of the order presence throughout the OKC Fall ID. The Norman North product drove balls with authority to all parts of the yard with an 86.9 mph avg EV. A physical prospect at 6’0” and 190 pounds, Copus showcased continued development with an easy and efficient offensive move producing 15.6g Rotational Acceleration. Defensively, he has continued to flash athleticism behind the dish as well as an accurate throwing arm. He is a name to know as he comes off a strong sophomore campaign and part of a talented Norman North squad.

+ Athletic 2-way INF/RHP Bryson Deaver (Mustang, 2027) flashed a well-rounded game with upside throughout the OKC Fall ID on the campus of UCO. We saw consistent development from Deaver as he clocked his quickest 60, a 6.86, and was up to 87 mph across the infield which was also a personal best. Offensively, he continues to flash an easy move that leaves room for adjustability using his athleticism. On the mound, he was in control of his entire mix as he attacked the zone - including a changeup with up to 20.2” of horizontal break. Deaver is a name to know as we march toward the spring flashing multiple ways to impact a game.

Bryson Deaver
+ Twitchy 2-way player INF/RHP Ethan Dobbs (Homeschool, 2026) came away from the OKC Fall ID as one of the clear winners. Flashing a combo of speed and power, he logged personal bests across the board. The 6.96 60 is his best to date, but Dobbs saved his best for when he stepped into the box. His name was littered across various offensive leaderboards including the top EV of the event of 99.4 mph and his 90.1 mph avg EV was second best for the day. Still room to add to his frame at 6’0” and 169 pounds, he is an uncommitted prospect to know as he continues to show steady growth and development with present tools.

+ Toolsy 2-way prospect OF/LHP Easton Dobson (Piedmont, 2028) put together one of the more well-rounded days of the entire event while nothing numerous personal bests throughout as well. The 7.03 60, 91.1 mph max EV, and 84.3 mph avg EV were all personal bests and also illustrate his ability to pressure defenses and impact games. Defensively, we also were able to see his development as the velo continues to rise, up to 86 mph from the outfield at UCO. To finish his day, the southpaw hopped on the mound and saw his athleticism take over with a fastball/curveball combo. The 2028 prospect is a name to know for a talented Piedmont program coming off a 6A semifinal finish.

+ Physical 2-way player INF/RHP Caston Fox (Cameron, 2027) showed his ability to impact baseball games through a steady workout as he comes off a fall state tourney run for Cameron High School. A strong frame at 5’11” and 190 pounds, the right handed hitting infielder posted a personal best 93.2 mph max EV and 86.9 mph avg EV while also producing force efficiently with 20.8g Rotational Acceleration per Blast Motion. Further, the 7.10 60 and 86 mph velo across the infield were also personal bests. On the mound, Fox was in command of his entire mix including a fastball that worked into the mid 80s. The consistent shapes to each secondary offering were also promising as his athleticism played onto the mound. He is a name to know with steady development as he consistently shows growth in all phases of his game.

+ INF Cruz Gillespie (Oklahoma Christian Academy, 2026) is arguably the highest upside uncommitted prospect still available in the state. At the OKC Fall ID, we saw his best 60 time to date at a 6.47 to go along with the power potential to the pull side. Having reached exit velocities north of 103 mph, Gillespie also showed the ability to produce force efficiently with 21.7g Rotational Acceleration. Defensively, he once again worked into the mid 80s but with athleticism that could translate across the diamond. He continues to fine tune a well-balanced game and the OKC Fall ID was our latest opportunity to witness the consistent growth.

+ Physical C Kolby Grinsteiner (Edmond North, 2026) his physicality and athleticism throughout the OKC Fall ID at UCO. The 6’3” 205 pound backstop put together one of the most consistent BP rounds of the day with a max EV up to 98.1 but a top avg EV for the event at 90.6 mph. He also added a 6.97 60 as well as flashing legitimate defensive versatility. He has shown the ability to receive at a high level behind the dish in the past, but he also showed versatility in the outfield working downhill with an accurate throwing arm. The Edmond North backstop showed a present skillset to impact games, but there is still plenty of room for growth and upside in the future.

+ Athletic 2-way player RHP/INF Elijah Jimenez (Edmond Memorial 2028) showed a well-rounded present skillset in addition to offering potential upside at UCO with the OKC Fall ID. The right handed hitting infielder showed the ability to use the entire field through BP with an exit velo as high as 90.8 mph. His athleticism shined throughout his game, such as a 7.12 60 and quickness throughout his work on the infield. On the mound, Jimenez was up to 85.5 mph and commanded a 3-pitch mix to both edges. Jimenez is a name to know as a young player looking to contribute on a talented Edmond Memorial squad this spring.

+ C Rylan Kuklinski (Mount St. Mary, 2027) showed the ability to impact games in a variety of ways throughout the OKC Fall ID. With plenty of present visible strength, the right handed hitter consistently shows maturity throughout BP with an easy, efficient move to the big part of the yard. He consistently drove the baseball from alley to alley with extra base hit potential. He also showed his athleticism behind the dish with an accurate throwing arm. Part of a talented Mount St. Mary lineup, Kuklinski will be a name to follow as he will be a producer in the middle of it.

+ OF Preston Kutej (Moore, 2027) came away as one of the big winners at the OKC Fall ID. The left/left outfielder flashed big athleticism throughout which included a 6.57 60 (3rd in the entire event) and a 27” vertical jump (2nd in the entire event). He also worked amongst the top of the leaderboard in other statistical categories including his 92.7 mph EV working line drives from gap to gap. His 86 mph outfield velo was also amongst some of the leaders. A lean frame, there is still plenty of room for Kutej to continue developing as he adds mass but he’ll be a name to know for a talented Moore squad primed for a big spring.

The switch hitting infielder showed the ability to impact the baseball with a tight turn from both sides of the dish. He worked up to 96.2 mph which was near the top of the leaderboard. Defensively, he showcased comfort receiving the baseball out front and was up to 87 mph across the infield. On the mound, his mid 80s fastball was also part of a 4-pitch mix that included feel for a slider he could land in the zone or hunt swing and miss. McCarter is a name to follow after contributing for a Byng squad coming off a 2A Fall State title.

On the mound, there are intriguing peripheral metrics with each of the secondary pitches with minimal IVB and tunneling off of his fastball. McDaniel is a name to follow as he continues to develop as part of the defending 6A champion Edmond Santa Fe.

Coming off a huge fall season for Preston, he showcased his command for his entire 4-pitch mix that includes a tough, tunneled slider with an average of .9” IVB and up to -12.1” of HM. The fastball worked into the mid 80s with up to 18.1” of HM. McElhannon has already shown the ability to miss bats, get outs at a high clip, and the Cowley commit is an exciting prospect to continue following with projectability and metrics pointing to much more success to come.

In the outfield, he worked downhill with an accurate throwing arm. Rideau offers plenty of upside as the junior showcased a strong foundational skillset with a frame to add mass and future strength.

Offensively, the long-levered right handed hitter was up to 90.5 mph EV as he drove balls from gap to gap. On the mound, the 3-pitch mix worked to both edges as Scott showed good command of all. The secondary shapes were consistent and further added to his potential upside and development.

+ RHP Carter Wyrick (Community Christian, 2029) showcased feel and exciting projectability throughout his pen at the OKC Fall ID. Standing at 6’1” and 170 pounds, he flashed a 3-pitch mix with strong peripheral metrics. The fastball flashed good ride with a maximum of 17.5” IVB and 92% spin efficiency. The slider’s shape was consistent and the swing and miss ability will continue to develop from the long and lean frame. Of the entire mix, the changeup was one of the more exciting offerings of the day with advanced feel, arm speed, and comfort landing in the zone. The .6” avg IVB with more than 12” of HM and a similar release height to the fastball speak to the ability to tunnel the pitch but also use a weapon to both RHH and LHH alike. The young right hander is a name to follow and will have an opportunity to contribute to a talented Community Christian squad this spring.

The right hander attacked the zone with his entire mix and showed the ability to land all three pitches to both edges. The fastball has the makings of both ride and run, and miss barrels consistently - especially with natural physical maturity resulting in naturally increasing velocity. Both secondary pitches showed reason for optimism with consistent shape. The breaking ball featured a big break, up to -18.1” IVB and -20” HM that could be manipulated for swing and miss or landed for an early count strike. The changeup played well off the fastball, working with armside fade up to 20.1” HM, and an average of 6.3” IVB. Wyrick has an advanced feel for pitching and will be an exciting follow as he continues developing.

He received the baseball at a high level, working underneath the breaking ball, and showed his athleticism throughout. Further, he clocked his best 60 to date at 7.02 and pop time at 2.01. Offensively, he showed the ability to drive balls all over the yard with a 50% Sweet Spot % projecting extra base hit ability in the future. A name to know that handled a talented staff at Edmond Memorial last spring, Zerr continues to show clear growth and development in all facets.
