2028 Rankings Update: New Faces in the Rankings

The newest update to the North Carolina Class of 2028 Rankings brings a fresh wave of talent into the fold, highlighted by 27 new players entering the list. This group includes several prospects who reclassed into the 2028 class, along with players identified through a strong slate of Prep Baseball fall evaluations. Scout Days, Fall ID events, tournaments, and sustained live looks helped our staff uncover emerging prospects ready to join the state’s top rising underclassmen.

As always, our rankings process is driven by in-person evaluation — tools, projection, performance, and long-term traits all factor into where players land. With limited total looks at this age group, each additional evaluation can reshape the picture, creating space for new names to surface as players continue to develop physically and refine their game.

Today’s feature highlights 10 newcomers who made the jump into the rankings, complete with scout notes, data where applicable, and video to support their addition.
