As we close the door on our 2025 fall event schedule, the Prep Baseball Mississippi staff is taking time to reflect on what was an action-packed and talent-filled few months across the state. This fall featured a number of standout performances, with players continuing to raise their stock and make lasting impressions ahead of the spring season.

To continue our fall coverage recap series, we begin by highlighting some of the top outfielders our staff saw at events across the Magnolia State. These players showcased advanced feel for their craft, projectable frames, and competitive presence on the mound that stood out throughout the fall circuit.

BEST OF THE FALL: OUTFIELDERS

Parker Hawkins OF / OF / Sumrall, MS / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 23 / POS: 6 From 10/14/25: Hawkins continues to impress with steady progress, and he put together one of the best overall showings at the event. The lean, athletic 6’2” frame projects well, and his tools are beginning to come together in a big way. He turned in a blazing 6.65 60-yard dash, showcasing top-end speed that plays in all facets of the game. Offensively, Hawkins is a switch hitter with a line drive approach and up to 103 mph exit velocity. He’s currently more polished from the left side, showing better rhythm and barrel control, but flashes upside from both sides of the plate. In the outfield, he recorded an 83 mph arm, and continues to make strides defensively. Hawkins took a big step forward on Saturday, and with his speed, athleticism, and switch-hit ability, he's a must-follow moving forward.
