SoCal Uncommitted Games: Catcher Analysis

On Sunday, October 12th, the Prep Baseball California staff traveled to Cypress College in Cypress, CA for the SoCal Uncommitted Games. This event was host to over 40 prospects from California, and gave our staff a personal look at everyone in attendance.
Today, we are taking a look at all of the catchers from the day with their scouting reports and a top-3 event ranking, below.
TOP CATCHING PROSPECTS
1. Logan Miller, Mater Dei (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: C/3B Mobile backstop with strong catch-and-throw ability behind the plate.
Body: 6-1, 191-pounds. Strong frame with present athleticism throughout.
Hit: RHH. Feet set shoulder-width apart, using a rhythmic rock back and forth to establish timing. Hands and lower half stay in sync during the load. Shows a heavy barrel through the zone with an uphill bat path, producing consistent line drives to all fields. 65.6 mph bat speed with 11g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 mph max exit velocity (74.4 avg.); 331-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. INF - 81 mph. Quick release with short action, plenty of carry to the bag.
Defense: 1.92-2.00 pop time range; Mobile and athletic. Displays soft hands and the ability to keep the ball in front.
Athletic Testing: 7.39 runner in the 60-yard dash; 23.20-inch max vertical jump.
