As the calendar flips toward the end of the year, it’s time for another rankings update—this time shining a spotlight on the future.

With the school year now in full swing, the Class of 2029 is settling into high school life and beginning to show what the next four years could hold. That makes this the perfect moment to release our inaugural Florida 2029 Player Rankings.

Top 5 Analysis

Garrett Harper LHP / OF / Cocoa Beach, FL / 2029

Harper debuts at number one in our initial release of the 2029 rankings. A 6'3" 185 lb two-way with major upside on the mound. Clean arm from the left side in the mid-80s. CB with depth that can be an out pitch. Offensively, looks to be one of the top hitters in the class, and the two-way ability will carry him a long way. Reminds me of Cam Caminiti (AZ) in the 2024 class.

Easton O'Quinn 3B / 1B / Suwannee, FL / 2029

O'Quinn is advanced physically with the strength of an upperclassman. Standing 5'11", 198 lbs, O'Quinn's offensive profile is one of a power corner bat. Loose wrists at the plate with above-average bat speed. When he connects, the ball travels a long way.

DeAndre' Williams OF / Trinity Christian Academy (JAX), FL / 2029

Williams is a toolsy center fielder with athleticism and a big ceiling. Lanky 6'1" 185 lb frame with room to fill out and add power. The athleticism really stands out with a chance to be a game-changing player in the outfield and on the base paths.

Matthew Mizell OF / THE BOLLES SCHOOL, FL / 2029

Mizell is a two-sport athlete with a lot of athleticism to like. A football running back and two-way player on the diamond. Physical 6'0" 170 lb frame. Mid-80s on the mound, but the bat and power potential are what stand out most. Mizell should have the opportunity to make an impact as a freshman for Bolles this spring.

Liam Lackaff 3B / RHP / Sarasota High School, FL / 2029

Lackaff has a frame to dream on at 6'5", 175 lbs. Plenty of room to fill out and continue to add power potential. Loose swing stays on plane with long levers. Lots of upside with more to come.
