We have a brand new content piece we are going to be rolling out throughout the off season. It is called "Then and Now". We will look back on players we have seen at events throughout the year and see the strides they have made in their game.

Then and Now

We have seen Chaffin a number of times over the years. He kicked off his showcase circuit with us in March of 2024 at Rising Stars: Preseason All-State which earned him a Junior Future Games invite in July that Summer. The Central HS OF sprinkled in a couple more looks at showcases at the West Georgia Fall ID in October of ‘24 and at Top Prospect Games in June of ‘25. Fast forward to now where Chaffin finished his 2025 with us at Southeast Super Sophomore Games in August and his metrics have steadily increased since our first look in March of ‘24. His max exit velocity increased from 84.6mph in March of ‘24 to 90.5mph at the West Georgia Fall ID in October of ‘24. His average exit velocity increased from 76.4mph in March of ‘24 to 80.9mph at the West Georgia Fall ID. His Max distance increased from 265ft to 301ft at Junior Future Games and then up to 304ft at Southeast Super Sophomore Games. Average distance improved from March of ‘24 at 168ft to 217ft at Junior Future Games. His 60 time increased from a 6.98 in March of ‘24 to a 6.74 in July at Junior Future Games to a 6.60 in June of 2025 at Top Prospect Games. OF Velo improved from 80 mph in March of ‘24 to 86mph in August of ‘25 at Southeast Super Sophomore Games. Chaffin boasts present loud tools across the board and looks poised to build off a strong freshman campaign this upcoming Spring.

Arm: RH. INF-75 mph. OF-82 mph. One of the strongest arms of the day. Carries a ton of drive into the throw. Stays in his legs.
Defense: Athletic, Moves well. Works behind the ball, fielding it out in front.
