Then and Now

We saw Hinnant earlier this year at the East Georgia Preaseaon ID back in January along with a couple more showcases settings sprinkled in during the Summer circuit. Fast forward to the Fall and he finished his Fall circuit with us during the Fall Campus Tour at University of Georgia. Hinnant increased his hitting numbers significantly across the board from January to November. At the plate his max exit velocity was up from 84.2 mph to 91.6mph. His average exit velocity was up from 78.8mph to 83.3mph His max distance increased from 280ft. to 340ft. and his avg. distance was up nearly 40ft.

Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-6, 159-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slight open stance with calm drag load. Swift hands through the zone with good bat-to-ball skills. Does a good job of not overloading and controlling his load up to contact. Upper/lower half connection is present with each swing. 64.4 mph bat speed with 6 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 83.3 mph. 340' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-77 mph. Good arm strength.
Defense: INF - Fluid mover at the position with athletic footwork; displays good range to both sides and gets the ball out of the glove with good arm action.
