Updated Class of 2028 Player Rankings (December)

Throughout the summer we were all over the state, scouting numerous prospects and seeing many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene. With that information, we are updating each of our class rankings based off what we have seen.

As summer sports come to an end and the new school season starts, we will take a look at "Who's At The Top 10", "Names To Note" and a look some of the top uncommitted prospects by position, and a close look at the Top 10.

Who's At The Top

Koltyn Watters OF / LHP / Rochester Adams, MI / 2028

Report: Koltyn “Flip” Watters, OF, Rochester Adams: Watters remains at the top of the 2028 rankings after a quiet fall - Watters along with a few other Michigan players, will be in attendance for the Max Clark Holiday Slugfest in a few weeks in Franklin Ind.. Our staff is looking forward to seeing the progress and gains Koltyn has made over the last few months as we head deep into the winter preparing for the 2026 MHSAA season.

Names To Note

Mason Piazza 3B / SS / Saline , MI / 2028

Report: Piazza jumped into the offseason after a strong summer most notably with the bat being a producer in the middle of the order. Piazza production came across strong competition throughout the Midwest in a number of PBRT events after getting his feet wet on the Varsity squad earlier in the year for the Hornets of Saline. A prospect we’re excited to see as he heads into his sophomore campaign.

Billy Ochadleus 1B / OF / Milford High School, MI / 2028

Report: Ochadleus started his varsity baseball journey strong after earning All-Conference honors, as the only FR to do so in the Lakes Valley Conference. He’s gotten strong praise from Milford Head Coach, Chris Mocerino as a grinder and infectious work habits that have already made an impact on the program. Ochadleus is one to follow heading into 2026 posing as a future RBI producer in the middle of the order with an already solid core frame at 6’0 200.

Nathan Phillips 2B / RHP / St. Clair, MI / 2028

Report: Phillips continued  to show our staff the gains he made over the summer with an appearance this fall at the Eastern Fall Games at Oakland University. Phillips was able to put himself at the upper echelon of leaderboards for the event while cracking a few XBH during the game play portion going down in the zone and putting a solid barrel on the ball.
