2026 Top-10 Uncommitted: OF

1. Brady Strachan OF / 2B / Rancho Bernardo High, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 95 / POS: 15
From 4/3/25: “The always fun-to-watch Brady Strachan delivered another impactful performance for Rancho Bernardo in their matchup against Cathedral Catholic, going 2-for-3 with an RBI double and a single. What really stood out to me was his approach in the box, particularly during his first at-bat. Strachan is aggressive and looks to make an immediate impact, something I can always appreciate as a viewer. With Hugo Gonzalez and Nathan Bembenek reaching base ahead of him, Strachan wasted no time, jumping on the first pitch he saw and ripping a double to drive in the game’s first run. That swing not only put Rancho Bernardo on the board but also set the tone for the rest of the game. Batting in the 3-hole, he shows a strong sense of situational awareness and never shies away from big moments. Strachan has the intangibles you look for in a top-of-the-lineup bat; confident presence, strong baseball instincts, and the ability to impact a game from the start. His swing is compact and quick through the zone, and once he fully fills out his 6’0” frame, I’m excited to see what kind of power potential he unlocks. A name to keep close tabs on this season.” |

2. Takashi Rutherford OF / RHP / JSerra Catholic, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 111 / POS: 18
From 2/18/25: “The RF for the Lions put together a strong showing on opening day with strong defense in RF moving well to cover ground and the arm showed well during INF/OF with carry and strong arm strength with potentially CF upside. At the plate he opened the game by staying on an elevated CB from the Knights starter to drive in a run with a swing that showed solid present bat speed with upside in the profile, but some rawness to the approach.” |
|
3. Camden Goetz OF / RHP / Canyon High, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 118 / POS: 20
From 7/22/25: Positional Profile: OF/RHP High-motor OF with present bat speed from the left side and impact athleticism. |
|
4. Alex Mestman OF / Patrick Henry, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 123 / POS: 21
From 4/1/25: “Mestman has been consistent in each of the three times I’ve seen him play. He is always working the count as the Patriots lead off hitter and finds a way to get on base to spark a rally for PH. He’s hit safely in all 3 of the games and that includes two more against Del Norte that were on the barrel. He’s a twitchy athlete with tons of athleticism. Mestman is a high IQ base runner that can steal bags and he scores a lot of runs as the teams table setter. He is your prototypical lead off hitter and any lineup could use a player like Mestman. Defensively, he plays CF at a high level and has range when he is out there. He made a great diving catch in LCF to take away a hit for Del Norte in the ball game. His athleticism is really able to shine when he is on defense. He has a CF profile and he looks very comfortable moving to either side. With his average up to .324 this spring and his OBP at .432, the stock for Alex Mestman is continuing to rise.” |

5. Rock Akahi OF / 3B / Orange Lutheran, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 125 / POS: 22
From 6/7/25 Positional Profile: OF/3B Projectable corner OF with good instincts as a fielder. |
|
6. London Anderson OF / Bakersfield Christian High School, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 161 / POS: 26
From 10/3/25: “Anderson put on a display during his workout at the Bakersfield Summer ID that earned him an invite to the West Coast Games. Once he stepped on the field at Loyola Marymount University the dynamic athlete showed once again the high level collection of tools he possesses. Opening the day by running a pair of 60 yard sprints with the first registering 6.54 seconds and then posting an event best 6.45 time on his second try with his 1.55 10 yard and 3.57 30 yard splits also being event best times his 21.4 MPH max run speed was second best at the event. He then moved over to the defensive workout where he showed off a solid present arm tool with a 85 MPH OF arm velocity (up from 80 MPH at the Bakersfield event) while moving with easy athleticism around the OF grass. While his explosive athleticism and CF defensive profile are enticing on their own premise it's not the only way that Anderson stood out during the workout with his round of batting practice opening eyes even further to his present ability and future upside. The RH hitter showed off an ability to impact the baseball with authority during his Bakersfield ID batting practice, but took it up a notch at LMU posting personal bests now in the hand speed (23.5 MPH), bat speed (74.7 MPH), rotational acceleration (27.3 Gs) on Blast Motion. His explosive operation in the batters box combines with a strong feel for timing/approach to produce loud batted ball metrics on Trackman. Anderson posted personal bests of 102.4 MPH max exit velocity, 97.9 MPH average exit velocity with an 88% hard hit rate. The Bakersfield Christian product has now twice shown a dynamic speed/power profile that profiles as a high ceiling CF product that is going to be a tremendous land for someone at the next level while undoubtedly continuing to push his profile up the 2026 rankings board come the end of the fall.” |

7. Erick Barron OF / 1B / Rio Mesa, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 164 / POS: 27
From 1/5/25: “Barron is another player who may not light up the metrics board during the workout with his tools, but is sound across the board. What the 2024 Prep Baseball Future Games alum does when the game starts is simply perform and play high level baseball. Barron is more of a high contact hitter who wears out the OF grass/turf with hard line drives from line to line from simple operation in the box. What Barron showed in the High Desert was the his continued development to his approach, physical strength and ability to get the ball in the air with authority is starting to tap into his impact potential as a hitter. He reached new personal bests in bat speed which is up to 65.2 MPH with consistent accuracy on the barrel to ball which helped him reach 91.5 MPH on max EV another personal best to go with a few other upward ticks in his tools. As noted those numbers may not jump of the plate, but the play at a very high level in games which despite not getting a hit came with a pair of hard hit line drives to CF that showed improved carry to his contact quality through the middle of the field. The arrow on Barron continues to point up as he is a strong consistent performer whose tools/strength/athleticism all continue to trend upwards.” |

8. Ty Daniels OF / C / CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC SAN DIEGO, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 172 / POS: 30
From 5/6/25: “In a star-studded Cathedral lineup, Daniels still managed to stand out and catch attention. Hitting out of the 7-hole, the junior outfielder proved he could handle his own in a competitive matchup against Saints. Daniels finished 1-for-3 on the day, sitting back on a curveball for a well-struck single, and added a loud flyout to left after squaring up a low-90s fastball—highlighting his ability to make quality contact against velocity. Daniels features a compact swing and has started to heat up at the right time with playoffs approaching. His composure at the plate is evident, showing mature pitch-to-pitch adjustments and a calm, focused approach. The twitchy athlete offers significant defensive versatility and looks capable of playing anywhere on the field. He showcased his arm strength in the top of the 5th inning, throwing out a runner from the outfield to keep the game tied—a momentum-shifting play. With a strong, athletic frame and room to continue filling out, Daniels is an exciting utility player to follow. His upside and competitive edge make him a player to watch heading into his senior season.” |

9. Grant Tsuji OF / SS / Adolfo Camarillo High, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 177 / POS: 31
From 5/5/25: “This was back to back viewing on Tsuji (saw him on Friday 5/2 vs. Royal where he posted a two hit day) and the RH hitting CF has been impressive in each of those two looks. Athletically built with quickness to his run tool he plays a strong CF defense with ability to cover ground looking most comfortable coming in or to his glove side, but is sound going to throwing arm side or back on balls. His arm has shown well over the course of two INF/OF looks and one in game throw being at least solid with potential for more as he matures. Where Tsuji has stood out for me is in the batters box where the leadoff man for the Scorpions has demonstrated a hitterish, aggressive approach that hunts and attacks early hittable offerings showing strong bat to ball skills (0 whiffs over two games) with solid feel to deliver the barrel accurately at contact. Tsuji has an aggressive forward move, but does a sound job of controlling his body with rhythm/timing to reach the launch position on time or early with solid to strong bat speed showing in a leverage based bat path that plays to a middle/pull approach. Over two games Tsuji has posted six hits in nine at bats never going deeper than five pitches in the count with multiple at bats ending within the first-second pitch. A transfer into Camarillo Tsuji got a late start to his JR. season, but has capitalized to be the most impactful offensive piece for a Scorpions team and will be a strong name to follow in Ventura County for the 2026 class.” |
