On October 3rd, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the West Coast Games at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Cal. This was an invite-only event for high school classes 2026 & 2027, and gave our staff an ample look at the state's top prospects.

SCOUTING REPORTS
London Anderson, Bakersfield Christian High School (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: OF High-end athlete with the tools to stick in CF and an offensive skill set that offers intriguing upside.
Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Well-put-together frame with present strength and athleticism.
Hit: RHH. Begins from a wide, slightly open. Knob pointed towards catcher. Hands rest just above the rear shoulder with a light, relaxed waggle. Initiates the swing with a subtle load into the back hip and a controlled stride. Hands work back on time, maintaining a tall posture into rotation. Quick twitch actions, hips fire quickly and the barrel works on a slightly uphill path, producing a whippy swing through the zone. 70.1 mph bat speed with 18 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 102 max exit velocity, averaged 97.9 mph. 335' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-85 mph. Compact, quicker arm action with reliable accuracy; has room to add carry.
Defense: Moves with natural athleticism. Reads and routes show CF instincts, projecting well at the position.

Colton Booterbaugh, Highland High (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Multi-spot outfielder who shows ease bouncing between all three positions. Right-handed hitter with developing impact potential.
Body: 5-10, 175-pounds. Athletic frame showing added developing strength.
Hit: RHH. Starts in a balanced stance with light flexion in the knees, back elbow set low, and loose hands stationed just above the rear shoulder with a controlled waggle. Initiates the swing by sinking into the back hip with a medium stride into launch. Barrel tips slightly as the hands work down and back. Delivery: Stiff movements with a medium leg kick, extending the front leg as he drives off the rubber.

Keaton Pilliter, Riverside Poly High School (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B Two-way player with intriguing tools and impact potential on both sides of the ball.
Body: 5-8, 159-pounds. Athletic frame with room to mature and add strength.
Hit: RHH. Wide base with a simple, repeatable setup. Flat barrel with a vertical hand load. Uses a long, straightforward stride to load, maintaining a level swing through the zone with present hand speed. 62.2 mph bat speed with 15 G's of rotational acceleration.

Cody Reynolds, Cathedral Catholic San Diego (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: LHP/1B Starter profile with an intriguing multi-pitch mix that offers room for continued refinement and upside.
Body: 6-0, 193.6-pounds. Strong frame with additional physical development still to come.
Delivery: Slow, deliberate windup with a slight pause on the side step before transitioning into a high leg lift and a long, driving move down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Works from a high 3/4 release, creating some natural deception.
FB: T85, 80-84 mph. Heavy arm-side run and sink, consistently attacking to the arm-side with intent and feel. T2133, 2034 average rpm.

Wylan Rottschafer, Costa Mesa High (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP Athletic middle infielder with smooth actions and intriguing two-way upside.
Body: 5-11, 178-pounds. Lean build with present development of strength added to frame.
Delivery: Stretch-only delivery featuring a glove set at the waist, lifting to the chest as he initiates a medium-height leg lift. Works down the mound with a shorter stride.
Arm Action: RH. Medium arm circle that can show some stiffness, paired with a high-effort release from a high 3/4 slot.
