THE TOP 10

Ben Delic 2B / RHP / Oakville, MO / 2029Delic claims the top spot in our initial 2029 rankings, leading the way in a talent-rich group. The 6-foot, 186-pound left-handed hitter has consistently shown the ability to handle high-end pitching, boasting an advanced feel for the barrel that stood out this past summer as a member of Team Missouri at the Junior Future Games. Physically advanced, Delic creates effortless power from a smooth, compact left-handed swing that works back through the middle of the field, routinely producing exit velocities north of 95 mph. With a strong present skill set and significant upside, Delic is a name to circle early in Missouri’s 2029 class. |
|
Brady Dohrmann RHP / OF / St. John Vianney, MO / 2029A two-way athlete, Dohrmann stands out as the top arm in Missouri’s freshman class. He shows advanced feel to repeat his delivery and command both sides of the zone with an impressive three-pitch mix that features a fastball up to 86 mph and a curveball/changup mix that he can land for strikes in any count. Dohrmann shined this summer with Team Missouri, racking up 11 strikeouts in a complete-game shutout against Team Florida during bracket play, while also patrolling the outfield when not on the mound. |

Drake Wilson 1B / RHP / Kickapoo, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
Another two-way prospect, Wilson is as physical as they come, boasting a strength-filled 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame. That strength translates on both sides of the ball: at the plate, the Springfield-area native swings with intent, generating low-90s exit velocities from the right side, while on the mound he works a low-to-mid-80s fastball. His combination of size and power makes him a key player to monitor as the class develops. |
|
Dan Lang SS / RHP / St. John Vianney, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
With all sorts of upside and athleticism in a 6-foot-1, 160-pound frame Lang is a standout two-way athlete to know on both sides of the ball. A strong defender on the infield with a notable arm strength that can also handle the bat, Lang has the look to be a future middle of the order bat with upside on the mound as he continues to fill out and mature, making him an exciting prospect to follow. |
|
Ricky Wade OF / RHP / Seckman, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
A high-upside two-way prospect, Wade already boasts standout tools across the board. At 6-foot, 180 pounds, he is physically advanced for his age and displays advanced actions on both sides of the ball. His quick swing and low-90s exit velocities from the right-side are notable, but it's his 90 mph arm from the outfield and livley low-80s fastball on the mound that makes him standout. |
|
Anthony Rodrigue 3B / RHP / De Smet Jesuit, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 1
At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Rodrigue has already shown growth in both frame and athleticism, with no signs of slowing down. The lefty features a smooth, repeatable swing with notable bat speed, projecting as one of the top bats in the state’s class with middle of the order potential at the next level. He also works into the low-80s on the mound, adding two-way value. An exciting athlete to follow, Rodrigue could climb even higher in the rankings as he continues to show he can produce at the highest levels. |
|
Emery Detwiler RHP / OF / Liberty, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 2
Detwiler shows plenty of promise on the mound in an athletic, 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with plenty of room for growth. Featuring a fastball up to 83 mph with more in the tank, Detwiler possesses the maturity to command both sides of the zone with his slider/changeup mix to keep hitters off balance and could see his name slide further up this list as he further polishes his game. |
|
Oliver Bouse C / 3B / Ozark, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 1
The top catcher on our list, Bouse breaks into the top 10 following a standout showing at the Junior Future Games this past summer in Georgia, catching a majority of the innings for Team Missouri. A reliable defender with catch and throw ability and an advanced feel for the game behind the plate, he not only demonstrated the ability to command a pitching staff but also consistently find the barrel against some of the nation’s top arms. |
|
Carson Coy SS / 2B / Benton, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Standing 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, Coy is one of the most projectable infielders in the state. The all-around athlete displays polished actions on the infield as well as advanced arm strength and speed, while also showing a consistent feel for the barrel against high-end pitching. With a high baseball IQ and strong baseball bloodlines, Coy is an exciting prospect to follow as he continues to develop. |
|
Kaeden Villanueva OF / SS / Ozark, MO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 2
An all-around athlete with explosive quick-twitch abilities, Villanueva slides in at No. 10 in the first edition of our rankings. His quick left-handed swing generates elite bat speed and low-90s exit velocities, while his 6.80 speed on the basepaths and ability to track down anything in the outfield make him a true game-changing athlete to see from the Springfield area. |
