With the end of the showcase season, fall baseball wrapped up, the World Series now behind us, we're heading into the true offseason. Be on the lookout each Friday for this series, or follow along on our X platform, where we announce commitments each morning. This past week was a busy one for commitments, so let's begin.

Illinois Valley CC Commit From 3/07/25: “OF/INF Jaylen Ware (Simeon, 2026) looked to be one of the more projectable and high-ceiling players in attendance. He has an ultra-projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with lean strength and a high-waist, holding all sorts of room to fill out in the coming years. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed athletic hands with a compact and direct swing, working on the barrel with some pull-side feel and the ability to lift at times (T91 mph EV; T348’). He worked out both on the infield and in the outfield, though he looked more natural in the outfield with quick feet and a high motor, playing with long/athletic strides through the baseball with steady hands. He has a shorter arm action out of the glove and a high ¾ slot, reaching up to 86 mph from a crow hop.” |

Currently ranked No. 73 in the class, the middle infielder showed tools across the board starting the day with a 6.69 run-time with burst off the line. At the plate the right-handed hitter worked in rhythm using the middle of the field throughout his round reaching 93.9 mph max exit velocity with a max distance of 369 feet. Defensively Ziebell is a steady defender with range and footspeed to stick in the middle of the field, the arm plays on the move and from multiple angles reaching 86 mph on his best throw across the diamond.” |

|
Jazarris Mackmore Jr OF / 1B / Marian Catholic, IL / 2027Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 5
Illinois-Chicago Commit From 7/23/25: “A name who has continued to trend in the right direction since we saw him this February is Jazarris Mackmore Jr. An athletic 6-foot-1, 192-pound prospect, Mackmore has shown well on both sides of the ball all summer with seemingly every look. Thursday was more of the same, going 2-for-2 with a walk, and two RBIs while showing rangy actions in right field. A name for schools to know as the summer winds down.” |
|
Liam Nash RHP / Huntley, IL / 2027Rankings StateRank: 44 / POS: 14
Houston Commit From 7/26/25: “FROM 2025 FUTURE GAMES: RHP Liam Nash (Huntley) offered a lively look at a three-pitch mix throughout the week. Nash worked his fastball in the 87-90 mph range and topped out at 91 on the day with up to 2335 rpm of spin. The righty also offered a slider with sharp and late horizontal movement that stayed in the 73-75 mph range, as well as a high-70s changeup with both fade and depth. Nash stands in at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds with present strength throughout his frame, and there is plenty of projection in his makeup.” |
