Kansas Fall ID: Quick Hits

Eliott Wilk
Central Region Operations Director

On Saturday, October 18th, the Prep Baseball Kansas staff traveled to Hoglund Ballpark on the campus of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS to host the annual Kansas Fall ID. This event was open for all 2026-2029 class members and featured 19 players from the area.

All of our events offer players the opportunity to update their recruiting resume and showcase their talents in front of our staff. We also use these events as identifiers for future invite-only events, like the Preseason All-State, our summer Top Prospect Games, and the prestigious Prep Baseball Future Games that takes place at the tail end of the summer. Shortly after the event, our staff compiled several of the day’s stat leaders inside our traditional ‘Stat Story’, which you can find HERE

Today, after combing through our notes from the day, we’ve compiled some of the event’s standouts below within these ‘Quick Hits’.

QUICK HITS

+ Saturday’s trip to Lawrence gave our staff another look at one of the fastest-rising two-way prospects in the state — OF/RHP Tucker Lee (De Soto, 2027). A recent standout at our inaugural Kansas Fall Games earlier this fall, Lee delivered another complete, all-around showing in this look. The athletic junior found himself near the top of nearly every leaderboard, posting a 96.9 mph exit velocity, a 6.81 60, and a 90 mph outfield velocity. To wrap up his day, Lee took the mound and pitched in the mid-80s (T85.7 mph), spinning a 2,400+ RPM slider at 74–77 mph and showing feel for a 81–83 mph changeup. Continuing to add polish to his game, Lee will be a name to watch for De Soto this spring.

+ OF Everett Hash (Olathe Northwest, 2028) continued to impress at the plate in Saturday’s look, putting together the loudest round of BP on the day. The 6-foot-2, 187-pound 2025 Super Sophomore Games alum swung with intent throughout his round, consistently elevating balls to the pull side and barreling his best ball 363 feet at 100.6 mph, while averaging 92.6 mph per swing. Hash also showed arm strength from the outfield (87 mph) and ran a 6.87 60, continuing to round out his game as one of the top players in Kansas’ 2028 class.

+ A member of Team Kansas at the Prep Baseball Future Games this past summer, RHP/OF Macoy Moody (Wamego, 2027) continued to stand out on the mound while also showing his two-way ability with the bat in our trip to Lawrence. Physically built at 6-foot-2, 208 pounds, Moody showcased command of a complete arsenal on the mound that has shown the ability to get elite hitters out, headlined by a fastball up to 88 mph, paired with a 69–70 mph curveball (-16.8" HM), a swing-and-miss splitter at 78–80 mph (16.2" HM), and a 77–80 mph cutter. At the plate, Moody’s strength was on full display, barreling his best ball 384 feet at 99 mph and averaging 92.5 mph per batted ball. He also ran a 6.91 60, further cementing himself as one of the top two-way talents in Kansas 2027 class.

+ RHP Parker Bass (Olathe West, 2028) made a splash in his Prep Baseball debut on Saturday. As projectable as they come at 6-foot-6, 227 pounds, Bass filled up the zone with confidence and showed advanced feel for his full arsenal. He ran his fastball up to 87.4 mph, sitting comfortably in the 85–87 mph range with up to 19.1 inches of horizontal movement and 17.3 inches of induced vertical break. Off that fastball, he spun a 71–72 mph slider and turned over a 77–81 mph changeup with heavy arm-side fade (21.9" HM). With his size, ease of delivery, and pitchability, Bass emerges as a name to follow closely in Kansas’ 2028 class.

+ RHP/C Liam Nider (Manhattan, 2028) came away from this event as a name to know as he continues to polish his game. Packed with power and athleticism in a strong 6-foot, 195-pound frame, Nider impressed on both sides of the ball, showing true two-way impact potential. At the plate, he generated easy exit velocity from a quick, compact right-handed swing that sprayed line drives gap-to-gap, with a peak exit velocity of 96.6 mph — one of the top marks at the event regardless of class. Afterwards, Nider hopped on the mound, pitching in the low-80s (T83.2 mph) while mixing in a 72–75 mph curveball and 75–76 mph changeup.

+ INF Caden Pritchard (Andover Central, 2027) is an sneaky athletic, upside 5-foot-8, 162-pound prospect that continues to impress this fall. The right-handed hitter showed pop in his swing, reaching a 94.9 mph exit velocity, while running a 6.96 60 and topping out at 79 mph across the infield.

Caden Pritchard

+ RHP Anthony Hann (Olathe West, 2029) popped as a freshman follow on the mound. Hann worked in the low-80s with his fastball, which featured carry through the top of the zone, and showed confidence spinning a 67–68 mph slider. His most impressive offering at the moment looks to be his 67–70 mph splitter, a true swing-and-miss pitch that averaged up to 19.8 inches of arm-side fade.
