This week, we spotlight '27 OF/RHP Cason Jacobs. The junior out of Crescent Valley High School put together some of the best numbers at the Eugene Summer ID this July.
A 6'3, 195 pound prospect, Jacobs' showcase was highlighted by exit velocities up to 101.1 MPH and a 6.97 60-yard dash time. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.

Delivery: Taller posture when setting with hands set at belt. Works from stretch position from the 1B side of the rubber. Hands quiet through quick leg lift. Closed front foot land with slight cross-body fire. High trail leg swings through post-release.
Arm Action: RH. Tighter arm action after hands break at the letters. High 3/4 slot release with downhill action.

Hit: RHH. Body in rhythm pre-pitch with feet moving slightly in square base. Hands loose with knob pointed toward the catcher. Quick, higher stride widens base as hands retract. Bat travels quickly through the zone with a slight uphill path. Bend in levers at contact with a firm front side and a controlled two-handed finish. 72.1 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
