Then and Now
Tate Broom kicked off his Prep Baseball event cycle at Rising Stars Preseason All-State, which landed him a spot at the Junior Future Games in July. Fast forward to the fall and he finished off his 2025 with us at the Fall Campus Tour Series at Georgia. His numbers were up across the board, but what stood out most was his hitting numbers. He went from a max exit velocity of 82.0 in March to 91.6 in July. His average exit velocity was up nearly 12mph. His max distance was up nearly 100ft with the average distance going from 172ft to 229ft. The actions behind the dish really took a uptick as well going from 2.38-2.47 to 1.90-1.86. Arm strength wise he went from 69 to 74mph. All in all Broom tranformed his game and could see time as a freshman this spring for Sonoraville.
