Rankings season is upon us once again, and with that comes our initial look at this young 2029 group. We’re keeping the list short by design, going off what we’ve seen in-event and on the tournament circuit to this point. Blending present ability and projection, we’ve accumulated the five players we feel the most confident in to stay towards the top of the class in the coming years, found below.
The NJ Junior Future Games team showcased well at the JFG's - with several members cracking the top 25 initial rankings. Take a look below for a list of the top 10 and a link to see the full list of 25 players.

The Debut
+ Coming in a No. 1 is talented two-way prospect, RHP/OF Walker Snee (Bergen Cathoilic). Snee, a top quarterback recruit as well, boasts a broad shouldered 6-foot-2 190-pound frame and a clean, compact arm stroke. There's still some polishing to be made for Snee, but the combination of projection and physicality make him a guy to follow.
+ No. 2 is SS Chase Hallett (Pennington), who made a serious case for the No. 1 slot after a monster showing at the Junior Future Games.
The way he manipulates the barrel already at a young age... Left Handed Hitter, there's athleticism, bouncing all over the diamond, can move things around, 6.8 runner.. you want those aggressive athletes with aptitude and Hallett definitely has that.

SS/OF Chase Hallett (Pennington, NJ); 5-9 170 lbs
Displayed a refined swing w/ present strength. Multiple 90+ EVs this event including this backside triple at 93✔️
6.82 runner‼️ Also hit 82 on the bump. #PBJFG25 | @PrepBaseballNJ |… pic.twitter.com/uYo5Aq14HM
+ No. 4 is another Junior Future Games standout in C Drew Gable (Cherokee). Broad shouldered and strong at 6-feet 209-poounds, Gable possesses raw power and advanced catch and throw abilities for his age already. Really liked the way he moved the barrel and his athleticism will continue to improve as he gets stronger.

Absolutely unloads on this elevated FB. Takes it 315ft, caught right at the fence. Physical build that will continue to mash baseballs‼️#PBJFG25 pic.twitter.com/VR7iWb8zDQ
+ No. 7 is RHP Bryson Auten (Immaculata). A two way prospect as it stands at the moment but Auten's true electricity has come on the mound thus far. Fastball into the upper 80s with some late ride through the zone in the summer, expect Auten to be a breakout peformer for Immaculata this spring.
