With our initial 2029 rankings dropping yesterday, we wanted to take some time to highlight even more names that didn't crack our initial top-15. 30 names mentioned below, all deserving of a mention and should all be closely monitored throughout the coming years as prospects.

TEAM WISCONSIN

+ INF/RHP Owen Adams (Bay Port) From 7/31/25: “Projectable 6-foot, 180-pound frame. Smooth, repeatable RH swing out of a balanced setup. Adams would collect a loud hit in game three against Team Southeast, as he doubled to the pull-side gap to get the bats going for Team Wisconsin. Also collecting a walk on the weekend, Adams would come across to score twice.”

+ MIF Cael Ebert (Whitefish Bay) From 7/31/25: “Ebert would end his weekend batting .333 with a pair of singles, including a line drive up the middle in game two and an RBI single with the bases loaded in game three. Line drive approach out of a smooth LH swing with a medium height leg lift. High waisted infielder with natural movements at shortstop, athleticism plays well in the middle of the infield. Plenty of room to continue to gain strength out of a 5-foot-8, 128.5-pound frame.”

+ C Bentley Henrickson (Manitowoc Lincoln) From 7/31/25: “Henrickson’s athleticism stood out behind the plate this weekend, showcasing advanced instincts behind the plate, coming up with multiple big blocks to keep the go-ahead run at third base in game three against Team Southeast. Coil load, backspin tendencies out of a RH swing.”

+ RHP/INF Carter Hyland (Waukesha West) From 7/31/25: “Hyland showcased an intriguing arm for Team Wisconsin down at the Junior Future Games. Projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame with a whippy arm and long levers on the mound. At the plate, Hyland would come through with an RBI single in game three. The right-hander would also get hit by a pitch in game two and come around to score. Smooth movements in the infield, showcasing the ability to throw from different positions.”

+ OF Elijah Johnson (Whitefish Bay) From 7/31/25: “Johnson would showcase athleticism that stood out on both sides of the ball with effortless tracking ability in the outfield, as well as the ability to put pressure on the defense on the basepaths. The right-handed bat would put together quality at-bats while also walking in game three, taking a pair of bases with strong instincts.”

+ INF/RHP Teagan Tate (Oconto Falls) From 7/31/25: “Compact RH swing, toe tap load mechanism, Tate showed the ability to find the barrel consistently, finding his first barrel in game one against Team Virginia, lining one back up the middle for a single, ending the weekend batting .400 with two singles.

+ LHP Chase Thomas (Catholic Memorial) From 7/31/25: “Thomas showcased the ability to put together some quality at-bats with discipline at the plate, walking twice and creating activity on the base paths. Smooth, compact RH swing out of a short stride. Athletic runner, which played well in the outfield as well as on the basepaths. Thomas took the mound in game three, showing a repeatable LH delivery as well as the ability to find the strike zone with feel for multiple pitches.”

SUMMER CIRCUIT STANDOUTS

+ C/INF Kael Boenitz (Menomonee Falls) From 6/13/25): “Boenitz presents an athletic 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. Boenitz went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs against Athlete HQ 14u. In the box he features an athletic setup, gap-to-gap approach, and a short stride to start the swing. On the mound Boenitz pitched in four innings and had six strikeouts with no walks and only three earned runs. He offered a two pitch mix, the fastball was sitting 74-75 mph paired with a 66-67 mph curveball. On the mound he has a clean arm action and delivery.

+ 1B/OF Emmett Dargatz (Waterford Union) looks the part in the box, physical 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame with more room to continue to fill into his frame as he matures. Showed feel to drive the ball with authority to the pull side in front of our staff across the summer, a sneaky athlete for his size that only adds to the ability to project out on the player. 7.31-runner with some feel to play multiple positions defensively.

+ INF Eli Eads (Franklin) From 6/4/25: “Eads would show a loose, athletic left-handed swing that made him one of the underlying offensive catalysts for his Forceout Squad. In setup, he would stand upright while staying light on his front foot, before utilizing a leg kick to get into a position to launch with good separation and a loose barrel. Would finish the weekend 4-for-12 with a double, three runs scored, and two RBIs. Defensively, Eads would show athletic actions at the hot corner with promising footwork and hands. A name to follow within Wisconsin’s 2029 class.”

+ INF Taylor Keene (Waunakee) From 5/31/25: “Keene stands in at a towering 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame, showing a violent and aggressive swing for his age. Shows advanced strength and bat speed, generating loud contact. Hands explode through the zone with noticeable intent to drive the baseball.”

+ OF Matthew Nolan (Greendale) From 6/7/25: “An intriguing line-drive oriented left-handed bat, Nolan would act as a top-of-the-order presence for his Hitters squad, producing consistent quality at-bats throughout the weekend. In setup, he presents an athletic, slightly open base, utilizing a toe tap to get into a position of launch with a level bat path. Athletic 5-foot-9, 148-pound frame with room for added strength.”

+ C Dominick Pina (Horlick) From 6/7/25: “Presenting a developing 5-foot-10, 145-pound frame with present athleticism, Pina would showcase gamer traits throughout the weekend, showing well both at the plate and on the mound. The right-handed hitter presents an athletic, slightly open base with loose hands, utilizing a toe tap to get in a position of launch. He didn’t end up racking up results on the weekend, but showed an ability to consistently produce gritty, intelligent at-bats. Pina would also get the start on the mound during Forceout’s first game Saturday and would work five and ⅓ innings while allowing two earned runs and three hits while collecting five strikeouts. The right-handed arm showed quality command throughout his outing, which allowed his stuff to play up.”

+ C Carter Thoen (Waterford Union) is a strong 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher with feel to drive the ball in the air to all fields. The catcher has produced across multiple looks at the plate, maintains balance throughout the swing and the bat-to-ball stands out with some feel to already drive the ball. Defensively there’s a ceiling of a quality defender with some catch and throw traits.

+ RHP/INF Calek Smith (Waukesha West) another frame that stands out standing at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds with clear room to add to the frame. On the mound the arm works athletic and clean showing clear and exciting upside, flashing feel to repeat his delivery with some ability to sync the arm up consistently across longer outings. The fastball routinely sits in the low-80s (T83 mph) with some feel for the zone and looks to have more velo on the way. There’s some feel to spin a tight breaking ball in the zone for strikes to pair. At the plate, the right-handed hitter swings a strong bat with some feel to drive the ball to the pull side.

SHOWCASE WINNERS

+ OF/RHP Keegan Cavanaugh (Assumption Catholic) From 10/23/25: “opened some eyes on Sunday with his performances on the mound, with the bat and in the infield. The freshman started his day by running a solid 7.16 60 yard dash getting to his top end speed quickly. On the mound, he showed an athletic and repeatable delivery with feel for a fastball up to 78 mph, and a couple of different breaking balls he was able to command in and out of the zone. Next, the left handed swing was all over the barrel throughout the round of batting practice he took. His swing displayed fluidity and rhythm with impressive barrel awareness. In the infield, his quickness and athleticism was on display laterally and he showcased softness to his hands as he worked through the groundballs. The 5-foot-9, 140 pound freshman will surely see all the metrics tick up as he continues to add size and strength to his frame. Cavanaugh has proven himself to be an interesting prospect for the 2029 class.”

+ RHP/INF Balin Hillestad (Lodi) From 3/16/25: “is a long limbed and projectable 6-foot-1, 170 pound two-way prospect. He started his day by running an impressive 7.04 seconds 60 yard dash which was the best time of the day. Hillestad hit with a well-sequenced right-handed swing and produced hard barrel contact throughout his round. His max EV of 85.1 mph and 79.4 mph average exit velocity were both 3rd best marks amongst all participants. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher deployed a three-pitch mix with a fastball, curveball and change up and was up to 75 mph with the heater. His delivery was fluid and repeatable and will certainly add to his velocity and overall stuff in the future.”

+ RHP Ben Knickmeyer (Monona Grove) From 10/19/25: “put himself on the map after his pitching performance at the event on Sunday. The 6-foot-1, 173 pound wiry strong freshman featured a four-pitch mix with a repeatable delivery. His fastball had late natural cutting action to it and was driven through the hitting zone making his fastball (73-77 mph) a deceptive pitch and one that will be difficult to square up for both left-handed and right-handed batters. He deployed a tight sweeping curveball and lateral sweeping slider with feel for the zone for both breaking pitches. He rounded out his arsenal with a change up thrown out of the same window as the rest of his arsenal.”

+ RHP/INF Lucas Reinheimer (The Prairie School) From 9/24/25: “is another younger arm that showed feel throughout, 5-foot-10, 155-pounds. Reinheimer’s changeup was one of the most impressive pitches of the night, thrown at 69-71 mph with an average spin rate of 788 rpm, played like a splitter, and fell off the table. The fastball worked up to 80 mph, sat 77-79 mph with 17 in. of IVB, and slider worked in the mid to high 60s. With high quality off-speed offerings, Reinheimer is a name to follow as he continues to mature and the velo ticks up.”

+ LHP Gabriel Seifert (Jefferson) From 3/16/25: “is long and wiry and will add considerable size and strength to his 6-foot-2, 170 pound frame. Seifert ran his fastball all the way up to 77 mph with a repeatable delivery from the left side. He also showcased impressive ability to spin a slider (62-63 mph) with an average of 2,412 RPMs with big horizontal movement. He rounded out his arsenal with a change up thrown with fastball intent. Seifert is an interesting prospect in the state for the 2029 class.”

+ C Cassiel Short (Fall Creek) From 7/15/25: “stands at 5-foot-8, 127-pounds with room to add to the frame as he continues to mature. At the plate the left-hander took an on the barrel round of BP spraying line drives throughout the field. Defensively, Short has steady and athletic action both behind the plate and in the outfield with feel to play both.”

+ INF Gavin Vahl (Whitnall) From 9/24/25: “is an athletic 5-foot-5, 129-pound infielder. At the plate the right-handed hitter swings a quick bat with feel to find the barrel and drive the ball to the pull side. Twitchy and quick path, with balance reaching a max exit velo of 88.5 mph throughout the round. Defensively in the dirt Vahl breaks down to field, working through the baseball, arm plays with accuracy topping out at 73 mph across the diamond.”
