Today, our staff updates the MD/DE Class of 2028 rankings. In this update, we expand the rankings from the Top 75 to the Top 90 players across Maryland and Delaware in the class. This class doesn't see a ton of movement in the top 10, however, we do see some key risers and new faces in the top 90. Below, we take a quick look at some players that stacked impressive performances this fall and see a rise in this latest update.
MD/DE Rankings Risers Story

Brandon Toadvine LHP / Saint Michaels, MD / 2028Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Added physicality and an uptick in velo this fall, the 6-foot, 200-pound southpaw certainly opened our eyes this fall at the Mid-Atlantic State Games and sees a rise inside the top 10 of this update. Brandon Toadvine has been a mainstay in the top 10 of this 2028 class, and the pitchability and velo uptick continues to excite our staff. The fastball now sits comfortably in the mid 80s and the addition of a devastating splitter has now produced one of the top pitch arsenals that this class has to offer. |

James Worrall 3B / Archbishop Spalding High School, MD / 2028Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 2
Yet another standout Mid-Atlantic State Games attendee, the left-handed hitting infielder produced barrel after barrel all fall long and impressed our staff with the ability to spray line drives to both gaps. The power upside is certainly intriguing, and a breakout in power production is quickly on the horizon. Look for a huge 2026 campaign out of Worrall as the strength comes to fruition and the body really fills out. |

MacGuire Moore C / St. Mary's Ryken, MD / 2028Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 2
Arguably the most “helium” player in this update, MacGuire Moore made a name for himself this fall and made a case as being one of the more exciting players to watch in the class. A sub-7 runner with present thump in the barrel, the highly athletic 6-foot, 168-pound versatile backstop put up eye-opening numbers this fall and translated those metrics in-game consistently. A player that can play basically every position on the field at a high level, look for the stock to continue to sky-rocket as we head into the 2026 preseason. |

Jayden Liverpool RHP / Riverdale Baptist School, DC / 2028Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 4
Our highest ranked “new face” in this update, the long-levered 6-foot,5, 185-pound righty stole the show at our Prince George’s County Scout Day earlier this fall, and certainly added his name to the follow list as a potential Future Gamer come summer time. Possessing raw arm strength, the fastball runs into the mid-80s with the ability to spin two different breaking balls that play off the heater well. As the movements and arm action become more fluid, look for this to be a highly touted arm to watch for years to come. |
