BIG RISERS:
|
Guillermo Molina 3B / SS / Pueblo South, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 30 / POS: 6
Molina comes in at 6-foot, 140 Ibs with some long levers that have produced a fastball up to 82 mph. There should be plenty more velocity on the way for Molina as he gets stronger and fills out his wiry/athletic frame. What really stands out for Molina is that he has already tossed some meaningful innings at the varsity level in Colorado as last spring as a freshman he pitched 45.1 innings with 54 Ks, and a 2.32 ERA (4A class). With Molina's future projection and possessing some quality pitchability already, the sophomore is worth a close follow moving forward and should be a steady riser in the 2028 class.

Cooper DeBall RHP / 3B / Cherry Creek, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 45 / POS: 8
DeBall has made a jump in the rankings after seeing his velocity take a big step this fall. The underclassman posted a trackman fastball velocity up to 84 mph at this year's Fall Invite event with an average spin rate at 2,200 rpm. DeBall has a whippy delivery and an arsenal consisting of a changeup, slider, and splitter to go with his actively developing fastball. If DeBall continues to progress into spring, he could be worth a close follow in 2026.

Lincoln Hudson RHP / C / Legend, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 58 / POS: 11
Hudson’s 6'3'', 170 Ibs frame immediately points to projection on the mound in the future, and his current arsenal shows the early signs of what that build could become. His fastball sits at 82.4 mph with natural leverage, and the ease in his operation suggests more velocity is coming as he continues to add strength. While still raw, but Hudson already mixes a curveball, changeup, and slider, giving him a foundation of feel that should sharpen with maturity and innings. Only a sophomore, Hudson’s physical upside and developing pitch mix give him a real chance to make a meaningful impact by the 2026 season.

Evan Jensen RHP / OF / Legacy, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 1
Jensen showed one of the more intriguing blends of strength and athleticism at this year's Colorado Fall Invite, standing a projectable 6’4”, 214 lbs with noticeably added physicality since our last look. The added strength translated across the board, highlighted by a fastball that now reaches 91 mph to go with a changeup, curveball, and slider mix. Jensen’s improved mobility was equally impressive, running a 7.02 in the 60 despite his big frame, while posting a 101.1 mph top exit velocity at the plate. He flashes some power at the plate, reaching a 98.2 mph max exit velocity with a 360 ft. peak batted ball distance that points to emerging impact potential. Defensively, his 87 mph infield velocity highlights a clean, developing arm that should continue to tick up as he matures. On the mound, Taylor also works his fastball up to 87.3 mph, giving him another avenue to impact a roster. With his size, time to develop, and a toolset that’s trending in the right direction, Taylor is a name well worth tracking closely heading into the spring of 2026.

Ashton Santomo OF / RHP / ThunderRidge, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 5
Santomo stood out at this year’s Colorado Fall ID as one of the more projectable 2028 prospects in attendance. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound outfielder combines present athleticism with clear physical upside, running a 6.74 60-yard dash and posting an 84 mph outfield velocity. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded a 92 mph top exit velocity, showing quick hands, a direct path, and the ability to drive the baseball with carry to the gaps. His movements are clean and athletic throughout, and as he continues to add strength, the bat speed and overall impact should take another jump. With his combination of speed, arm strength, and offensive potential, Santomo profiles as a high-upside outfield follow in Colorado’s 2028 class.
