Then and Now

We saw Thomas in a showcase setting for the first time in May at the LakePoint Summer ID. The sophomore finished up his fall casmpaign with us during the Fall Campus Tour at the University of Georgia. Thomas made strides in his game as his numbers were up across the board from May to November, but his hitting metrics stood out the most. At the plate his max exit velocity was up from 85.2 mph to 92.7mph. His average exit velocity was up from 79.4mph to 85.8mph. He also boasts positional flexibility across the diamond and added 5mph to his INF velo as it increased from 76mph to 81mph.

Hit: RHH. Level stance with leg kick. Upward swing path generating loft into baseball to all fields. Hands and body work well together with swings. Swift bat speed and intriguing bat-to-ball connection. 69.8 mph bat speed with 15 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 85.8 mph. 302' max distance.
