EMERSON, GA — Every summer, the Prep Baseball Future Games turn LakePoint into a recruiting epicenter, where radar guns and stopwatches click in rhythm and the top uncommitted talent from 40-plus states gathers under one roof. It’s a marquee event on the summer calendar, drawing more than 300 college coaches from across the country, all hunting for their next roster cornerstone.

The 2025 edition opens with a showcase workout on Wednesday, July 24, followed by three days of game action beginning Thursday. For the Midwest, this event has become something of a launchpad. Recent MVPs like Danny Wallace (in 2023, Papillion LaVista South), Camden Kozeal (2021, Millard South), Gable Mitchell (2020, Iowa City High), Sam Petersen (2019, Ballard), and Aaron Downs (2018, Pella) have all used the platform to make their mark.

This year’s group has the goods. It’s a roster built on skill, upside, and a hunger to prove they belong. And with another wave of eyes locked in from the recruiting world, they’ll have every chance to do just that.
