Cartaina, a right-hander out of Morristown Beard HS was a standout from the Unsigned Senior Games. At 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, Cartaina worked a three pitch mix with the fastball touching 89.3 mph, sitting 87-88.9 mph with 2040+ rpm. Mixed in a curveball at 72-74 mph with 2120+ rpm and a nearly 70% zone percentage. The breaker kept hitters off balance and guessing. Flashed a changeup for strikes at 82 mph with 14+ in. of horizontal movement. Cartaina was arguably the biggest winner from the event and is a uncommitted name to follow heading into his senior year for Crimson.
