Quick Hits

Hayes Maginnis, RHP, 2027, Newnan
Arguably one of the biggest winners across the board, Maginnis would provide an eye-opening look on the bump against Team Florida. Maginnis, an ultra-competitor who shines when the lights are brightest, struck out 4 across 2.0 IP on double-digit whiffs. The RHP attacks in the zone with feel for all 3 and pitches with moxie. Fastball lived 90-92 (T93 MPH) with carry. Kick-change played extremely well off the fastball at 80-81 with disappearing tumble and flashed plus with swing-and-miss to both LHH and RHH at will. Curveball created 12/6 depth at 76-79. The polish stands out in the profile with plenty more to project upon towards a significant ceiling for Maginnis.

Makayle Moon, OF, 2027, East Forsyth
Moon would put together some of the best swings of the week for Team Georgia. On day one of gameplay the LHH showed off an impressive 2K swing for a base-hit into RF. Great balance and feel for the zone zone out with great hands in-zone excellent plate coverage. Needing a big swing on day 2 in a close game, Moon delivered in an emphatic way. Hammering a no-doubt home-run to RCF (98 EV/ 402ft.). Moon syncs up extremely well and explodes through the zone backed by present bat speed and accuracy in the barrel with budding impact in the barrel to match. A 6.8 runner that can go get it in CF and offers an impact glove with plenty of athleticism in the 6-foot-0 frame as well.

As he would go 4-for-6 with a BB throughout the three game slate. Biondo possesses a quiet confidence at the plate as he looks to do damage in all counts and isn’t afraid to hit with two-strikes. The RHH works short-to-long with innate barrel feel and excellent use of the whole field. Stays simple in a quick trigger with strong ability to get the barrel on-plane. Curveball was flipped over at 74-77 and created late-depth for heavy swing-and-miss with potential for a future advanced offering. Fastball/curveball combo kept hitters off-balance and disrupted timing all outing long. Changeup was mixed in at 79-82. There’s plenty of polish in the profile with much more to project upon.

Brennan Neal, SS, 2027, Brookstone

Outlandish juice continues to show up time and time again for Holt. Possessing some of the best raw power in the class, the RHH holds immense strength in the 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame and it was on full display in batting-practice. Evaporating multiple baseballs for monster home-runs to the pull-side ( Max EV 105.3/ 411ft.). Holt would then find a pair of 104 EV barrels in gameplay with nothing to show for it heading into day 3. In his first at-bat Holt would get something to handle in a two-strike count as he would see changeup all the way. Dismantling it to LCF for the no-doubt home-run (102 EV/ 387ft.). Stays well-connected with advanced use of his lower half and innate feel for the barrel. Explosive barrel through the zone backed by premium bat speed in a well-leveraged path. The plus in-game power ceiling is easy to see as Holt taps into it often and is armed with an immense feel to hit as well.

Coming off a highly impressive summer campaign as one of the most consistent in-game performers across the circuit. Moering would transfer it right over into Future Games. The athletic 6-foot-0, 170-pound RHH would compose a strong round of BP. Moering stays compact with tight turns and above-average feel for the barrel in a well-leveraged path which resulted in multiple pull-side home-runs.
