Southeast Super Sophomore Games: Alabama Quick Hits, Infielders
August 6, 2025
EMERSON, GA – The inaugural Southeast Super Sophomore Games took place August 2-3 at the renowned LakePoint Sports Complex, bringing together over 230 of the top uncommitted 2028 prospects from across the Deep South.
Alabama standouts made the most of the stage, turning in strong showings during both the workout portion and a pair of highly competitive games.
In this breakdown, we highlight some of the standout performances from Alabama infielders who impressed against high-level competition. Stay tuned in the coming days as we continue our positional coverage of Alabama prospects from the event.
+ 1B Hunter Elmore (American Christian, 2028) continues to look and perform like the top-ranked first baseman in the entire country in the rising sophomore class. A 6-foot-1, 217-pound build that possesses mature strength, Elmore continues to fill his frame out while still maintaining the physical strength that makes him such a feared hitter. Elmore, who is coming off a breakout freshman campaign where he was named the Class 5A Series MVP, continues to pummel baseballs gap-to-gap for a living. The approach shows some polish and is advanced showing maturity working gap-to-gap in BP where he could easily get pull-happy and start chasing high EVs, but the right-hander stays smooth throughout with easy impact skills in the barrel. Low-effort swings producing high exits off, peaking at a 97.8 mph EV. Also a consistent in-game performer where the power translates, highlighted by a missile double to deep RF in gameplay.

+ 1B/RHP Nash Davis (Spain Park, 2028) is as physically-gifted as they come for a prospect of his age, standing an impressive 6-foot-4, 200-pounds with loud tools littering the two-way profile. An imposing presence at the plate and on the mound, Davis exceled in nearly every portion of the event while showcasing massive upside on both sides of the ball. At the plate, the right-handed hitter possesses a gap-to-gap approach and hammered the ball consistently back up the middle with a top EV of 96.1 mph and a max distance of 371 ft. There's substantial power to project as a hitter with the ability to tap into the lower-half strength well and get into launch easily. On the mound, he's equally, if not more, impressive. Using a methodical, gradual-paced delivery, Davis operated consistently at 87-90 mph and topped at 90.5 mph in his outing. Also mixed in a distinct CB/SL mix, with the CB showing more 11-5 depth and the SL being more firm with late horizontal bite. CH shows typical arm-side fade with quality arm-side command, especially to LHH. Easy, fairly low-effort delivery. Much more velocity and development to project in the years to come. Also a standout QB on the gridiron.

+ SS/RHP Hudson Mitchell (Hewitt-Trussville, 2028) continues to see his stock rise as another highly-talented two-way player who has equal upside on both sides of the ball. An athletic 6-foot, 180-pounder, Mitchell carries a professional, mature approach to the game and keeps performing at a high level in everything he does. A switch-hitter who looks to be more natural from the left side, the 6.99-runner was consistently on the barrel throughout the weekend with multiple in-game barrels showing the clean stroke from both sides of the ball. On the mound, Mitchell continues to show the best pitchability in the class, highlighted by an 85-87 mph FB that was located to both halves of the plate well in the outing. The SL, spinning 78-81 mph, possesses late, downward bite with some tunnel off the FB, and collected numerous whiffs late in counts. Easy, controlled operation with repeatability.
Two-way ceiling keeps getting higher for SS/RHP Hudson Mitchell (@HuddyMitch2028, 2028).

+ SS Harrison Milanowski (Houston Academy, 2028) enjoyed one of the better weekends out of any Alabama prospect in attendance, putting up loud numbers in the showcase and continuing to hammer the baseball during gameplay. A lean, athletic 5-foot-9, 153-pounder, Milanowski has some unsuspecting tools scattered in his profile that consistently show up in-game. A blazing 6.52-runner, the right-hander possesses a high-contact rate right-handed swing that works flat and level through the zone using a direct path to contact. Stays through contact well with ability to spray to all fields. Recorded multiple hits in gameplay, highlighted by a pull-side HR to cap off an impressive Day 1 for the rising sophomore. Keeps producing.
An emphatic statement from SS Harrison Milanowski (@MilliMilanowski, 2028) to wrap up Day 1. 💣💣💣

Uber-athletic w/ impressive barrel skills & showing some power here. Consistent in-game performer who keeps making a living on the barrel.#SESSG25 https://t.co/SulWtywjUb pic.twitter.com/7Y46xMYsDS
+ 1B/RHP Ethan Levanda (Montgomery Catholic, 2028) is a prospect who is continuing to make a name for himself on both sides of the ball and continued to separate himself from his peers during this event. A lean 6-foot-3, 170-pounder who projects, Levanda was all over the barrel collecting numerous hits in gameplay, including a pull-side triple to LCF. The swing is simple with a level path through the zone and has efficient rhythm in the operation. Also a 7.16-runner for his size. On the mound, the right-handed arm continues to flash big upside with a quality mix in the arsenal. Featuring a two-piece arm action, the projectable right-hander lived in the mid-80s and topped at 86.1 mph in the outing, but the CB sitting 70-72 mph proved to be the separator. Spinning with sharp, late 11-5 depth, he was able to land it at the bottom of the zone late in counts showing impressive feel for spin. A name to monitor over the next year.

+ 3B Caleb Hawkins (Russellville, 2028) is one of the more tooled-up prospects in the rising sophomore class standing at 6-foot, 180-pounds. An athletic build with present proportional strength, Hawkins impacted the ball at a really high level during BP, showcasing loud pull-side pop with a top EV of 97.6 mph. Also a 7.16-runner, the right-hander works the barrel on an upward path with quality strength in the barrel. Stays through contact well and looks to drive to the pull-side gap in his approach.

+ Having clearly put in the the work behind the scenes over the past year, INF Hampton Hall (Oakman, 2028) continues to get better and better each time we see him. Now a 5-foot-8, 148-pounder who has added over 25 pounds of good weight over the past year, Hall has seen his metrics increase event after event, including drastic improvements to his 6.93 60 YD (-0.58 sec.) and 92.8 mph EV (+14.6 mph). Having already possessed the skills to match it with, the rising sophomore keeps coming into his own as a well-rounded infielder with a high-contact right-handed bat. Possessing a natural feel for the barrel, he showcases a line-drive approach at the plate with ability to spray. Swung it well in BP and recorded a single to RCF in gameplay.

Current line-drive, all-fields approach shows an impressive feel for the barrel. Hands work well in the swing.#SESSG25 https://t.co/bfmz6xMlHS pic.twitter.com/HeucUOKAs3
+ 1B/RHP Danny Lumpkin (Fairhope, 2028) hit baseballs really hard throughout the course of the weekend. An imposing presence in the right-handed box, Lumpkin exudes physical strength in his 6-foot-2, 211-pound build that he uses to impact the baseball at a high level. Peaked at a 93.9 mph EV during BP, but the loudest swings of the week for the rising sophomore came in gameplay, where he absolutely hammered a hanging CB over the scoreboard in LF and nearly left the yard again on Sunday with a deep F8 to CF. Slightly-open stance works square with a short load. Looks to lift and drive to the pull-side with intent.
3B/RHP Danny Lumpkin (@Lumpkin61813, 2028) absolutely parks this one over the scoreboard in LF for a mammoth 💣💣💣.
