As we continue through the summer showcase season, Prep Baseball Oregon features an Uncommitted Spotlight, where we highlight standout performers who have attended a Prep Baseball ID event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week, we spotlight '26 OF/RHP Cooper Berta. The two-way player out of Lakeridge High School was seen multiple times this summer, including at the Portland Summer ID and invite-only PNW State Games.

A compact-framed prospect with athleticism, Berta's summer was highlighted by a 7 second 60-yard dash time and exit velocities into the mid-90's. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.
