Prep Baseball Alabama Staff

EMERSON, GA – The 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games were held July 22-27 at the premier LakePoint Sports Complex, attracting over 400 college coaches from around the country to scout the nation’s top uncommitted talent in the 2026-2029 classes.

Prospects from Alabama rose to the occasion, putting together an impressive performance during both the workout showcase and three days of high-level competition.

In this piece, we take a closer look at some of the top performances from Alabama pitchers who stood out against the elite-level competition. Continue to check back over the course of the next few days, as we dive into each position and their respective Alabama standouts from the event.

Future Games: Class of 2027

+ RHP Brodie Wilson (Faith Academy, 2027) took the ball to open the event for Team Alabama, and while the results weren't what he'd hoped for, the pure stuff and projection remaining resembled one of the top arms in the class. A 6-foot-1, 187-pounder, the right-hander was amped up early, topping at 92 mph and pitching moslty 89-91 mph with scattered command. Eventually settled into 85-89 mph with more strikes, and complimented it with a bullet 78-82 mph SL that has short shape and late bite and a 79-81 mph CH. Quick arm with fluid, athletic movement patterns and still more to come. Committed to Auburn on August 1st.

+ RHP Boston Brown (Lakeside School 2027) wasn't afraid to attack hitters in his quality two innings of work and continued to show pitch-ability to match with deceptive stuff. A physical 6-foot-2, 212-pounder, Brown provides a deceptive look coming over the top with a higher arm slot, allowing the 85-87 mph FB that play up a few ticks with carry and ride through the top of the zone. Consistently misses barrels with it and can locate the FB to all quadrants. CB ranges 73-75 mph with ability to manipulate shape based on situations. Has good feel for it with late two-plane depth. Can also turn over the CH in the mid-70s well with fading action as quality third offering. A competitor who consistently pounds the zone. Committed to Auburn on August 1st.

+ RHP Brady Sack (Auburn, 2027) emerged as one of the top arms to throw for Team Alabama from our staff’s point of view with a pair of quality innings of work. Listed at 6-foot, 168-pounds, the rising junior is uber-athletic in his frame and operation while showcasing a well-rounded three-pitch mix. Sitting mostly 85-88 mph and topping at 90 mph with the FB, there’s still plenty to dream on for the future for the right-hander. Feel for spin stands out with a 75-78 mph CB that flashed late, downward bite and the ability to bury late in counts for chase. CH at 77-79 mph was a quality change of pace off the FB to mix timing, particularly to left-handed hitters. Smooth, clean mechanics with the ability to repeat often. Comes out easy with a clean release. A key name for college recruiters to follow in the 2027 class in Alabama.

+ RHP Brayden Cash (Bibb County, 2027) arguably had the top pitching performance out of any arm on Team Alabama, as he tossed two scoreless frames against some talented hitters from Florida. A 5-foot-9, 144-pounder, what Cash lacks in size, he makes up for in competitiveness and stuff. A consistent strike-thrower who isn't afraid to challenge, the right-hander sat 86-87 mph while topping at 89 mph with riding life and arm-side action to the FB. Has quality glove-side command, and tunnels a late-biting 73-76 mph SL with spin rates north of 2700 RPM at a high level. Also showed a 74-77 mph CH, as well. Fairly easy effort to the operation that is filled with athleticism throughout.

+ RHP Gibbs White (Tuscaloosa County, 2027) is a highly-projectable right-hander who continues to showcase quality stuff and traits to dream on. A lean, athletic 6-foot-2, 178-pounder, White featured an 83-85 mph FB that topped at 87 mph and showed natural arm-side run during his outing. Feel for spin on a 69-72 mph CB is evident, showing consistent spin rates of 2600 RPM and spinning it with hard 11-5 bite. Moves easy and smooth throughout the delivery with good pace. Long and loose arm action with projectable stuff to pair it with for down the road.

+ RHP Bryant Hopkins (Valley, 2027) was one of the lesser-known names for Team Alabama, but certainly attracted numerous schools with his clean operation and well-rounded three-pitch mix. Listed at 6-foot, 179-pounds, Hopkins has solid athleticism and some scattered strength to the frame with room to continue to fill out. FB topped at 89 mph while sitting mostly 85-88 mph with arm-side run. Rips the SL hard, sitting 69-73 mph with spin rates topping at 2856 RPM and has been north of 3000 RPM at previous events. Sells the CH well at 79-81 mph as a change of pace, as well. Loose, whippy arm action with potential for more to come.

+ RHP Cooper Frampton (St. Luke's Episcopal, 2027) is one of the more physically-imposing arms in the class standing 6-foot-4, 212-pounds, and continues to show off an arsenal that should only continue to improve. The right-hander navigated his outing well, living primarily off an 85-86 mph FB that topped at 88 mph with natural arm-side run. CB has some horizontal bite with slurv-ish action spinning 72-74 mph with T2435 RPM. Also features a CT in the mid-70s with late, short adction. Slight cross-fire to the delivery helps provide deception. Physical, work-horse type profile.

+ RHP Jude Davidson (Mountain Brook, 2027) delivered a strong outing for Team Alabama and on the back-end of Game 1 facing a loaded lineup of top prospects from Tennessee. An athletic 6-foot-1, 172-pounder, the right-hander worked 83-85 mph throughout his two innings of work, and generated substantial sinking action (0.6 IVB avg., 16.5 HM avg.) to the pitch to force consistent weak ground ball contact. The SL, ranging 72-75 mph, has some horizontal bite, but the CH proved to be the best secondary offering in this look, turning it over at 74-78 mph with killed spin and -2.1 IVB avg./13.1 HM avg. The pitch got numerous swings-and-misses to RHH and LHH and played well off the sinking FB.

+ RHP Will Congo (James Clemens, 2027) showcased a live arm that produced some quality metrics across his arsenal and consistently lived in the zone during his outing for Team Alabama. A well-rounded athlete at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds, the right-hander lived mostly 85-86 mph and topped at 87 mph with tailing during his outing for Team Alabama. CB showed as the best during this outing, spinning 70-72 mph with T2926 RPM and hard, downward bite. Commands it well to the arm-side facing LHH, and can land it glove-side to RHH, as well. Also showed a 78-79 mph CH as third offering. Quick, fast-paced delivery has a chance to add more velocity down the road.

+ RHP Inman Carson (Oneonta, 2027) still has plenty of room to continue to grow and develop in the future, but the right-handerd arm continues to produce a quality FB/CB mix that showed some good things in his outing for Team Alabama. A 6-foot-2, 176-pounder, Carson still has room for physical maturation, which should only help down the road. Sitting 83-85 mph and topping at 87 mph in his two innings of work, Carson has some tail to the FB and was able to show some glove-side command with the pitch. The CB was landed in the zone for strikes, sitting 71-74 mph with 11-5 shape. Another name to follow.

Senior Future Games: Class of 2026

+ RHP Cooper Anderson (Vestavia Hills, 2026) wound up being arguably the best arm to throw for Alabama all week, regardless of class or team. A lean, wiry 5-foot-10, 146-pounder, Anderson did everything and more to elevate his stock as a top uncommitted right-hander with two clean innings of work. The FB worked 88-90 mph and touched 91 mph a handful of teams, spinning north of 2600 RPM at times and averaging 17.8 in. of IVB. Even more impressive, the SL is a real weapon sitting 76-78 mph with hard, late bite and spin rates creeping over 2900 RPM consistently. Produced uncomfortable swings and takes with the pitch, and showed supreme confidence in the pitch. Also showed a diving CH at 78-79 mph with killed spin.

+ RHP Branson Hogan (Oak Mountain, 2026) is a two-time Future Gamer who has impressed both times he's thrown in the prestigous event. Listed at 6-foot, 181-pounds, the right-hander has a high-effort delivery that helps produce a lively FB that touched 92.6 mph in this outing. Sitting more 89-91 mph, the pitch has some ride spinning over 2300 RPM and averaging 18.7 in. of IVB. The SL spins 80-81 mph with late, lateral bite with some tunnel off the FB, often spinning over 2300 RPM, and showed a CH at 79-82 mph with arm-side fade. Control over command, but a big uncommitted arm talent.

+ RHP Charlie Cutler (St. James, 2026) continued to show pitch-ability with an intriguing four-pitch arsenal that helped produce a pair of quality innings of work for Team South. An uber-physical 6-foot-4, 273-pounder, Cutler moves well on the mound for his size and has been a consistent performer on the mound for quite some time. In this outing, the right-hander worked 87-89 mph and topped at 89.8 mph, showing some occassional cutting action and spin rates of 2400 RPM. Pairs it with two distinct breaking balls; CB at 77-79 mph with T2756 RPM and a SL/CT at 83-85 mph with firm horizontal bite. Also showed an 83-84 mph CH with fade. Higher 3/4 slot that has held velocity well throughout a long spring/summer.

+ RHP Bryant Diddell (Mountain Brook, 2026) showed all three offerings during his outing for Team South and mixed them well against a talented order. A 6-foot-1, 190-pounder, Diddell has a smooth, controlled delivery with repeatability to the operation. FB sits 83-85 mph and up to 86 mph during this outing on the back-end of the summer, and has been higher previously. Still effective with the help of T2309 RPM and 17.2 in. IVB, allowing it to ride and carry when elevated. Has a pair of distinct breaking balls; CB at 70-72 mph with 11-5 shape, and a SL at 76-77 mph with firmer, horizontal shape. CH showed success against LHH with heavy arm-side fade, sitting 74-76 mph.

+ RHP Bryant Hardin (Moody, 2026) continued to elevate his stock with a strong outing for Team South. A long, lanky 6-foot-5, 172-pound build that projects, Hardin currently has the stuff to pair it with, as he consistently sat 87-88 mph and topped at 89 mph with the FB in this outing. The CB has gradual 10-4 shape spinning 72-75 mph should continue to improve as it firms up and collected a few whiffs in this look. Moves athletically down the mound for his size with a smooth operation. Committed to Shelton State CC on August 3rd.

+ RHP Jake McArthur (Coosa Valley Academy, 2026) checks a lot of boxes with a mature 6-foot-2, 175-pound build and an upper-80s FB with quality secondary offerings. A lesser-known name in the rising senior class that has had a breakout summer campaign, McArthur showed the arm talent for Team South sitting 84-87 mph and topping at 88.3 mph. The FB shows sinking action and works best when located to the bottom of the zone. SL spins 74-77 mph with slurvy-type shape with hard bite and mixed in an 81-83 mph CH with fade. Athletic movements in the delivery with good intent. Has some quality upside and is a name to follow.

Junior Future Games: Class of 2029

+ RHP/OF Tripp Morris (Sparkman, 2029) possesses one of the bigger upsides in a loaded class of rising freshman and emerged as a clear-cut winner on the mound for Team Alabama. A highly-projectable 6-foot-2, 160-pounder, Morris combines a lean frame with tons of room to add with above-average athleticism and translates well to the operation on the mound. Peaking at 87.0 mph in a relief outing, the right-hander comfortably sat in the mid-80s with a bullet SL at 73-77 mph that has quality depth. Pulls the string well on the CH with diving action. Two-piece arm action with good arm quickness. Controlled delivery with athletic movements. High upside two-way prospect who has a chance to become of the top players in the class when it's all said and done.
