Chicagoland Summer ID: Pitcher Analysis

On Tuesday, June 10th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff kicked off the summer circuit with the Chicagoland Summer ID at Triton Junior College in River Grove, IL. This open event hosted around 50 kids from around the state, allowing our staff to get an up-close and personal look at them before the summer really started to heat up.

Today, we are taking a look at every single pitcher from the day, along with a Top-10 ranking of who our staff thought showed the best in their ‘pens.

TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS

1. Cooper Chapple, Waubonsie Valley (IL), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-4, 165-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled, easy, high leg lift with tuck, drop/drive.
Arm Action: RH. Long, clean, low 3/4 slot.
FB: T86, 84-86 mph. Firm action, showed life out of the hand. T1931, 1863 average rpm.
CB: 65-68 mph. 10/4 shape, sharp. T2412, 2340 average rpm.
CH: 69-71 mph. Heavy arm-side fade, plays at the bottom of the zone. T2024, 1949 average rpm.
