The 14th annual Future Games took place on July 22-27 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2027 and 2028 participated in one of the most popular events each year.
There were 36 teams, including Team Massachusetts, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.
More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

2025 Future Games: Team Massachusetts - Talent Continues To Stand Out At The Future Games
EMERSON, Ga. - The Future Games, an event that began in 2011, continues to draw raves.
With more than 400 college coaches on hand for the second year in a row, those in attendance come away impressed.
Dennis Healy, the Director of Scouting for Prep Baseball New England and the head coach of Team Massachusetts, was one of them.
“I thought the talent offensively this year was better than years in the past,” noted Healy, whose squad won all three games at the 2025 Future Games. “The players really swung the bat well in-game.”
Admittedly, a lot is involved in making it happen.
“The event is taxing, putting the roster together, relaying info and making sure everyone is provided with the maximum exposure can become a lot,” Healy said. “But the event itself ran smoothly and the weather cooperated so that made it a bit easier.”
Healy liked what he saw out of Team Massachusetts.
“The players did a nice job,” the Director of Scouting for New England said. “Offensively, it was one of the better performances I have seen from a Future Games team. The pitching was solid and we played clean baseball for the most part. The players seem to get along very well, which helps the pace of play.”
Getting college notice is what it is all about and it was no different in 2025.
“I have gotten a bunch of messages about players' interest,” Healy said. “It has been a normal year with regards to that.”
Two members of Team Massachusetts, Jack Frostholm and Luke Leger, have committed to Rutgers since the event and another, Nicholas Fantasia, to Elon. More from the team are expected to follow in making decisions on their college home for the future.
A Prep Baseball thank you to all that participated and a special thanks to the players on Team Massachusetts that gave their thoughts about the event (including what schools have been in contact with them since Aug. 1):
***** If you were on Team Massachusetts and did not share your thoughts, feel free to email us and we will get them included within this article.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? Being able to play with a bunch of extremely talented players, many of which I know from former teams. Another highlight was seeing all of the college scouts. I have never seen that many coaches in one place.
PBR: Assess your performance. I was really happy with my stuff on the mound Saturday. I made an 0-2 mistake (fastball down the middle) which led to a HR, but I was able to pick up 3 Ks in two innings pitched and featured all my pitches really well.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. One word- WOW. This team was an absolute wagon. I knew we had good pitching, but the bats really stood out for me. Those guys hit amazingly well all weekend.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. The bats for Connecticut were really strong. My command was essential because anything left down the middle was attacked.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? You are able to face the best hitters in the country. It is an amazing venue with everything right there and you can also watch a bunch of talented athletes in between games. The number of interested college coaches on site was off the charts and I was able to make some connections after competing.
PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached? Since the event I received interest from seven different schools. Thank you PBR for this amazing opportunity!

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? My Future Games highlights were going 4-6 with three walks, two singles, a triple, and a home run. I also made a few plays at shortstop and second.
PBR: Assess your performance. I believe I hit really well and my approach in the box was on point. I was thinking to myself to get the hands out in front, attack the first pitch fastball, and to always play like I was the best player on the field at all times. This brought me great success during the week.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Being a part of Team Massachusetts was a great experience and also a great learning experience. I met a bunch of new guys that I could create connections with, but also learned some things because at the end of the day everyone is always learning. Our team had immediate chemistry, you would’ve thought we’ve been playing together our whole lives. Also, the coaches were a great support system and provided us with a ton of confidence.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. The competition Team Massachusetts and I faced at the event was the best competition in the country. Every guy there was fighting for the same thing, which brought the best out in everyone. The pitchers I faced all threw anywhere from 85-93, and the opposing position players were also very skilled.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? Participating in the Future Games was the best recruiting event I have ever done. Every single Division I college coach was there, and it was a great way to get coaches from all over the country to come watch the best players in the country compete. This helped me by getting easy exposure to coaches.

Andrew Nunziata RHP / OF / Champlain Valley Union High School, VT / 2027
PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? My highlights were probably just being in that environment around so many competitive players and so many high-level coaches
PBR: Assess your performance. I feel that I competed well even though I didn’t have my best stuff with my secondary pitch. I was able to attack with my fastball and trust my defense while also picking up a few strikeouts.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. It was super cool to represent Team Massachusetts. Something that stood out to me about the team was the chemistry we had on the field. That sometimes can be hard to find in a team like that, but I feel like everyone was very comfortable and we trusted each other.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. All the competition was really good. Every player is really talented and you can’t catch a break in any lineup so I like that. Everyone down there loved to compete and that was super cool to be around.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? The Future Games definitely will help my future with baseball because there’s not many other places, if any, where you get the opportunity to play in front of what seemed like every mid-major to big D-I school in the nation.
PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached? Since the event I haven’t been talking to any coaches but I’ve had coaches follow me on recruiting platforms.

PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Being part of Team Massachusetts was a wonderful experience. Since there isn’t a Vermont team, I am grateful that I was asked to be a part of Team Massachusetts so I could participate in the Future Games. PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? My highlights were that I threw two innings and hit 87, and that I hit a two rbi triple in our last game.
PBR: Assess your performance. My performance was good, however, obviously stuff wasn’t clicking on all cylinders. I was battling some lower back issues that week, but I thought I battled well.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Playing for Team Massachusetts was really quite fun. I loved meeting up with kids who I had met before and meeting new great players. We dominated and had a great team synergy.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. The competition was great. I faced many of my friends from various national teams and every kid was a battle to face. It took a good effort to beat very skilled players.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? I think being part of the Future Games on such a big and influential stage means a lot and can greatly benefit players who haven’t gotten many college looks. For kids from the northeast like me, it is quite difficult to get eyes from the big power schools in the country, so cultivating the best of the best in this event really helped that for many of us.
PBR: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached? Tennessee, Rutgers, Navy, Brown, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Missouri State, St John’s, Harvard, Northeastern, BC, Texas Tech, Penn State, Seton Hall, URI, Baylor, Rice, UPenn and Delaware have reached out and hopefully some more to come soon.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? Some of my Future Games highlights was making a diving play at third and throwing the runner out from my knees. Another one was going 2-2 against Team Connecticut.
PBR: Assess your performance. I think I did okay, though I definitely could improve on defense and swinging at the right pitches to hit. I feel like I played hard and well. I’d give my performance a 6/10.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Being part of Team Massachusetts was a great experience. Something that stood out to me was the level everyone was playing at. Everyone knew what they were doing and played very well.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. The competition was very good. I saw pitchers in the upper-80s and touching 90s, everyone made plays left and right and there was a lot of consistency.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? In my view, participating in the Future Games will help my future because college coaches can see me play and give me a chance to play at their college whether they liked my performance or not.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? Some of my Future Games highlights were meeting different kids on the team and even other teams and building connections that will last forever.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? The Future Games was an unforgettable experience for me.
PBR: Assess your performance. I showed out during BP with consistent multi-HR bombs and set a new personal record in exit velocity. In live gameplay, I battled decent arms collecting hits, drawing walks, and even taking one for the team with a HBP. I was hoping pitchers would challenge me more but that’s the challenge of the game you never know what you’re gonna get. Lastly, I feel I proved my athleticism both at the plate and in the field on the biggest stage, in front of more scouts than I've ever seen in one place.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Being on Team Massachusetts was a great experience. I knew most kids on the team so we already had a connection going, but being on the same team with guys you usually compete against was different, while also great. The team chemistry was there off the rip. I had a lot of fun with the team, and coaching staff as well. It was a pleasure.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? This experience will help me a lot in the future because it shows me that I can play the game smoothly and calmly even when there are eyes watching my every move everywhere. As long as I just go out there and play the game I love the most the right way and have fun, everything will be okay.

PBR: What were your Future Games highlights? One of my Future games highlights was winning all three games. It was a bunch of fun with a great group of guys, a bunch of competitors who wanted to play for the guy next to him.
PBR: Assess your performance. My performance at the Future Games was a bunch of competitive at-bats and I tried to do my deed as a brick wall over at first base.
PBR: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Massachusetts and what stood out. Being able to represent Massachusetts was an honor and I think that everyone else on the team would say the same. We all worked our tails off in the spring and summer to get to this point and we all got to show it off all at the same time for one weekend together.
PBR: Touch on the competition you faced at the event. The competition was outstanding, very competitive.
PBR: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future? It shows you were a top player in your area and a very good player.
