From Tuesday, July 22nd, through Wednesday, July 23rd, the Prep Baseball Senior Future Games will take place at the LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Georgia. This event will feature select uncommitted 2026 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area and Canada.

Team New England consisted of prospects from New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, but within this piece we’re breaking down some of the New Jersey position players and pitchers from the Senior Future Games that stood out.

Position Players

SS/RHP JJ McLaughlin (Bishop Eustace, 2026)
Stocky strong 5-foot-7 181-pounds. Compact stroke in BP with EV’s above 96mph, 341’ and consistently on the barrel at 75% Sweet Spot. 7.29 runner. Consistently had good at bats throughout game play, along with a couple doubles to the back side. Can play anywhere in the infield, profiles as an offensive 2B or 3B with ability to play SS in a pinch.

SS/RHP Aiden Ogando (DePaul Catholic, 2026)
Ogando’s lean athleticism was on full display over the course of the week. Showed out during the workout, running a 6.65 60, EV’s topping at 95 mph, and 357’ along with 89 mph arm across the infield. Smooth, effortless swing and arm action from the infield. Ran into some hard luck during gameplay but Ogando’s strong spring season for DePaul speaks for itself.

SS Colin Hoverter (Christian Brothers Academy, 2026)
Athletic 5-foot-10 175-pounds, Hoverter was on the barrel consistently during gameplay. Had a multi-hit game in game two and a couple loud outs to go with it. 6.72 runner, EV’s topping at 91 mph and 317’ distance.

SS/RHP Ty Barber (Ramapo, 2026)
In the same vein as Ogando, Barber has that rangey athleticism that oozes projectability. 6-foot-2 181-pounds, 7.03 runner and EV’s topping at 92.7 during the workout. LHH with the ability to go the other way into the LCF gap. Another guy with an effortless arm that projects as a two-way potential.

C/1B Brody Barber (Ramapo, 2026)
Barber’s knack for the barrel was seen throughout the spring season and witnessed first hand in both the position player workout and in gameplay. Able to turn around some high velocity arms that New England faced, Barber is consistently on time with his barrel through the zone. Lefty hitting catchers are rare and 7.18-running lefty hitting catchers are even rarer. 94.5 EV’s with 369’ distance, too.

SS/3B Patrick Vannote (Montclair, 2026)
Vannote has a lean, projectable build at 6-foot-2, 193.6-pounds. Has some bounce to his game, a true left-side of the infield type who certainly runs enough to remain there at 7.05. Projects as an offensive third baseman, but has the hands, arm strength, and footwork to move over to SS, too. Just missed a homer in Game one to deep LCF and had a couple loud outs to the deep part of the pull side as well, Vannote showed some bat speed and power on the way to a successful event for the Montclair native.

Pitchers

RHP JJ McLaughlin (Bishop Eustace, 2026)
McLaughlin pounded the zone in Game one for Team New England, with fastballs that topped at 88.2 mph and between 1991-2110 rpm. Wrinkled in a slider at 70-72 with 2300+ spin and flashed a changeup. Efficient, clean inning of work. Strike thrower.

RHP Aiden Ogando (DePaul Catholic, 2026)
Ogando ranged between 85-87 mph topping at 88 mph on the mound. Slider was his best offspeed offering at 70-71 mph. High spin on the heater at 2366 max rpm, at his best he was pounding the bottom half of the zone with ease.

RHP Adam Goldberg (Livingston, 2026)
Goldberg is a super interesting arm with his length and cleanness to his arm swing. Projectable 6-foot-1, 168-pounds with room to fill out. Fastball got into the mid to upper 80s but was up to 89 mph just a week prior to the SFG’s at the National Championship event at Lakepoint. The separator is the slider, 73-75 mph 2833 spin. Exceptional feel for it, adds and subtracts to it. Goldberg was one of the top arm talents on the team.

RHP Ty Barber (Ramapo, 2026)
Barber revved the heater up to 89 mph in his lone inning of work. Sat mostly 85-88 throughout his outing, even as the pitch count rose due to some errors behind him. Showed some feel for a changeup and slider for strikes. Long, clean delivery and arm action.

RHP Noah Hynes (Ranney, 2026)
Hynes sat mostly 86-88 mph with his heater and at 1800-2000 rpm, it played heavy. Slider was hard and late biting at 76-78 mph with smaller, later bite. Strike thrower and showed ability to compete well.

LHP Daniel Pardini (Christian Brothers Academy, 2026)
Pardini showed some impressive stuff from the left side in his two innings of work, especially with his spin metrics. Fastball was mostly 85-87 mph with 2300+ spin and the slider was mostly 74-78 mph with up to 2846 rpm - shorter, late biting breaker with some swing and miss ability.
