Eli Herst RHP / 3B / Seattle Academy, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 1
The RHP and Vanderbilt Commit holds the top spot in Washington's state rankings for the 5th consecutive update after multiple strong summer looks. An ultra-projectable arm that already sits in the low 90's with 3 potential plus pitches, Herst has continued to separate himself in the class. Below are two recent reports written by PNW Staff after in-game looks. From 8/6/25... "Herst turned in one of the most dominant showings on the mound across the three-day PNW State Games event. Worked to all parts of the zone from a smooth, repeatable delivery, striking out 5 batters across 2 innings of work. FB sat 90.1-93.4 MPH & was leaned on heavily. Flashed a couple of mid-70's sliders and low-80's changeups worked to both righties and lefties. Top-end talent will be at Area Codes in the coming weeks and the Prep Baseball All-American Game in Miami for the second straight year." From 8/19/25... "Another complete outing, showing off the full arsenal and ability to miss bats at a high clip. FB peppered the zone and he was up to 91 mph in his 3rd inning of work. The SL has taken a step forward, showing better shape and harder bite darting out of the zone. He can manipulate the spin as needed and understands when to get it in for a strike vs when he wants to get a chase. While most talented HS arms don't need to rely on a CH often at the prep level because they can dominate with strictly velo and spin, the confidence Herst shows in the CH continues to be a difference maker. The CH by itself is an above average pitch but coupled with 2 other offerings for strikes, it puts hitters in a bind when they consistently have to defend against 3 offerings. The change simply allows everything to play up at an even higher level. The consistency around the zone with multiple offerings is going to allow Herst to turn over a line-up and that ability to get 18+ outs is arguably one of his biggest strengths."

Dawsyn Anderson RHP / 1B / North Kitsap, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 8
Anderson's exceptional rise in 2025 started with a great bullpen at this winter's PNW Preseason All-State event in Centralia, where he showcased wipeout stuff with a four-pitch mix and a FB up to 90 MPH. The Oregon commit then went on to have a dominant spring and several great summer showings, culminated by a great look at the PNW Scout Games event several weeks ago. Below is a report from that event. From 8/19/25... "A 6'4 arm who has continued to trend upward, Anderson flashed a power arsenal and put together a quality outing at Saturday's event. The Oregon commit had a four-pitch mix but relied heavily on a FB/SL pairing, topping out at 93 MPH with the heater and throwing strikes with the two offerings. Anderson maintained consistent armspeed on a low-80's SL commanded to the gloveside, generating multiple whiffs on the pitch across his two innings of work. The fluid arm action and delivery should only continue to improve with his size and strides already shown." |

Cody Ells OF / LHP / Asotin Jr Sr High, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 9
Ells put together one of the most dominant single seasons seen across Washington in some time, and Prep Baseball staff were eager to see the multi-sport athlete in a showcase setting. The lefty did not disappoint and showed extremely well at Gonzaga University during the Spokane Summer ID. The physical 6'3 prospect projects as a middle of the order bat at the collegiate level, making a significant jump in the rankings to break into the top 10. From 6/25/25... "Ells looked the part as one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the '26 class. Multi-sport athleticism showed in 6.75 60-yard dash time. Plus bat speed at the plate, with a peak of 80.6 MPH. Was all over the barrel to the pull side with a rhytmic operation. Posted the second-best exit velocity seen in Washington this summer at 104 MPH, and averaged a 92 MPH exit velocity with a max batted ball distance of 410 feet. Can realistically play all 3 OF spots, with smooth strides defensively and throws up to 83 MPH. Did not pitch at the showcase, but did log 56.1 innings without allowing an earned run this spring. Standout performance."

Beckett Turnbow SS / RHP / Tahoma, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 13
A high-octane two-way player that has made big strides on the mound this year, Turnbow impressed in Georgia at the Senior Future Games before another great outing at PNW State Games this summer. Ran the FB up to 92.5 MPH in Georgia from a high-intent, over the top slot. Showcased a four pitch mix overall with more of a reliever's profile and plenty of swing and miss present. The righty is a plus athlete, running a 6.63 60-yard dash, and has been a top of the order presence at the high school level as well. The Tahoma prospect is one of the harder-nosed players with natural in-game instincts, always taking the extra base and making situational plays on all sides of the baseball. Turnbow is one of the top remaining uncommitted players in Washington's '26 class. |

Ronan Scoffield OF / LHP / Juanita, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 18
The Juanita lefty posted some of the better metrics seen at any event this year at PNW State Games, earning a commitment to Washington State shortly thereafter. Ran a near event-best 6.65 60-yard dash time and followed with mature BP rounds, staying connected with a higher hand path and a peak exit velocity of 98.8 MPH. Athletic, medium frame could stick in CF, showcasing his arm in the defensive portion of the workout with throws up to 89 MPH. Medium-framed athlete could easily be a top of the order bat in a college lineup.

William Rohrbacher 1B / 3B / Bainbridge, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 28
The 6'5 slugger boasts arguably the best power tool in Washington from the right hand side of the plate, punishing balls up to 105.5 MPH in a winter showcase look before transferring that power in-game this spring and summer. Rohrbacher is an imposing middle of the order bat and was a key part to Bainbridge's 2A state title this spring. A look at PNW Scout Games really elevated the senior's status in the rankings. Rohrbacher produced the offensive highlight of the weekend with a towering 425 foot blast lifted well over the LF wall, one of the furthest hit balls seen by our staff in quite some time. The right backed up his homer with a productive overall offensive showing, getting just enough of a couple of pitches to muscle through two singles, putting together a great offensive output against some of the best arms in the area. |

Bodie Yale RHP / SS / Eastmont, WA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 44
Yale's State Games performance was one of the best regardless of class, as he showed great strides in his skillset at the plate and on the mound. The Eastmont product was one of the first to stand out in BP rounds Tuesday morning, peaking with a 96.6 MPH and averaging a 92 MPH exit velocity. Mostly pull power shown, but did hit to the middle of the fields with some authority. 7.16 second runner. Big strides made on the mound made hitters look silly at times, with a four pitch mix headlined by a FB at 86-89 MPH. Both the SL & CB were plus offerings with north of 2500 RPM spin rates on average, creating two different shaped breakers commanded to the glove side. Went 1-2-3 with 3 K's in his first inning of work. Yale's performance solidified himself as a high-end two-way talent in the area.
