2025 Prep Baseball Future Games: Nebraska Impact Arms

EMERSON, GA. - The 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games lived up to the hype. Over 400 college coaches packed the stands at LakePoint Sports, giving players exposure unlike any other event in the nation. This year, a number of Nebraskans stood out at the Future Games and Senior Future Games, with eye opening performances on the mound.

Bubba Day OF / RHP / Omaha Skutt Catholic High School, NE / 2027Bubba Day had one of the more intriguing outings of the entire event. Standing at 6-4, 180lbs, Day’s arm was electric in the first game of the Future Games. Day threw nothing under 91-92, while reaching back for 93. Day's slider at 80-83 was a tough look on hitters, having to decide between the two. Day surely has plenty of power 4 looks after his impressive showing.

Kalai Larsen RHP / SS / Lincoln East, NE / 2027Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 2
Kalai Larsen showed off one of the better breaking balls at LakePoint the week of the Future Games. Larsen’s curveball showed up to 19 inches of vertical drop, causing flinches, and swing/miss. Paired with a fastball that got up to 89, the projectable two-way from Lincoln opened plenty of eyes.

Markus Chandler 3B / RHP / Westside High School, NE / 2027Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
Markus Chandler pounded the strike zone with 3 pitches during Future Games. The compact built athlete came out the gates pumping his fastball up to 89 while sitting in the upper 80s. Chandler spun his sweeping slider at 75-77 with up to 19 inches of horizontal break. With a slow heartbeat, the Omaha kid is bound to continue making strides.

Blake McAndrews SS / RHP / Millard South, NE / 2027Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Blake McAndrews was the third two-way to throw during game two against Pacific Northwest. McAndrews let his athleticism shine, moving a low effort down the slope and running his fastball up to 88.5 w/ ride. Showcasing a slower slider at 70-72, Blake landed it for strikes early, while going to his fastball as a putaway pitch.

Rowen Scholting RHP / Millard West, NE / 2026Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 2
The closer for Millard West in 2025 did not disappoint in game action at the Senior Future Games. At 6-4, 180lbs, Scholting showcased a high OTT slot, with an upper 80s fastball with cut/carry movement. Scholting made a name for himself, performing well with coaches in attendance.
